That was a really solid performance by the Canadians! They allowed, what, 3 goals through the whole Olympics? Really consistent, and the front line started clicking. I'd say they certainly deserve the gold.

They seem to be doing multiple verses every time they do it. Most national anthems have several verses, generally the public only knows the first.

It's a nice anthem but after awhile I noticed the gears turning and turning and turning and turning...
Great. Now that the games are over I have to wait until the next world cup to see them ladies in skin-tight clothes again.
The Russians really came from behind. The obvious is the medal count. What a great showing, especially after the last winter games.
Overall as well. In the US there were many stories about how the venues would be a debacle. White and a couple of the other snowboarders and skiers complained about the snow early on, but from my remote location the feedback I heard at the end was that all was good. That is awesome for the athletes and for the Russian hosts.
What a show of class by the Russians during the closing ceremonies. Them making fun of their own snafu during the opening was funny and refreshing.
I think the US has some stars that have come out of the winter games. Definitely would not have predicted the outcome

The Games had some very special moments. Personally, I'll take with me
- Bjorndalen's historical performance in the sprint race,
- Mikaela Shiffrin's sheer excellence
- The USA v Russia hockey game
- Gabca Soukalova's two silver medals. Yes, I'm a fan. :heart:

Kinda sad the games are over. I really liked watching almost every event.
I still hate Putin for who he is, but the games were nice and exciting.

The USA/Russia game was amazing. Mikaela was great - I knew Maria would fuck it up. If she had a better run she would have won since Mikaela made a huge mistake herself. Not that I'm complaining. Mikaela deserved that victory.
I'll take with me
- Carina Vogt's adorable reaction to her win in the 1st ever ladies' olympic ski jumping. She was so cute bursting into tears after seeing the 1 next to her name. I had tears in my eyes, too.
- The Canadian curling ladies winning the Gold medal. They went to the final undefeated. Also it's kinda intimidating yet hot when especially a milf like Jennifer Jones screams "HARD! HARD!" at you, but her smile after winning was gorgeous.
- Canada winning gold in both hockey tournaments
- The Netherlands winning almost every event or better almost every fucking medal in speed skating! Fantastic!
- So many tasty girls to look at. Too many to name them all.
- The funny Russian announcer's voice at the medal's plaza. I mean the voice wasn't so much funny as it was the Russian translations.
Also the fireworks at the end were awesome and spectecular!

Wishful thinking on my part... at least we have the Summer Olympics in a couple of yearsThey're in 2018.
Yeah, suck that you American ice hockey noobs! 5-0!! Can't even shoot a single goal in a hockey game without the help of all your gun fanatics and their shotguns... All good players in NHL must be Canadians!

Once upon a time the NHL was American and Canadian. American teams became better with the infusion of more non-American players. Sure we had our stars but the Finns, and Swedes, and Russians started filling our rosters. Take them away and what have we've got left? The Olympics have proven that. USA all-stars vs (pick your country) all-stars fight on the ice and not subject to any money incentives. 4th place, live with it.

This Olympics did have quite a few lookers but Silje is the winner in my opinion. She got like an extra 100 thousand "likes" on Facebook after she was first televised. I doubt any other athlete at all had their social media blow up like she did.
