no downside? a blocked run back was what i was worried about. with one second left with the score tied and 57 yds from the goal post. you DONT let the other team touch the ball. the end. he should have just backed up 6 yds...the record is only 62 yds. that was bone headed any way you spin it.

first i would like to congratulate the auburn fans on a great win and i just want to say getting beat is a part of playing the game. for some reason i seen a upset around the corner. i stated this more than one time on this thread. had we lost in overtime ...o well. the thing that grinds my gears bone headed play calling is the reason it didnt go to overtime. so i hope everyone is happy now bama is out of the way. so if they crawl back in...somehow. no :crybaby: what if mich st beats ohio st ? and i know i been propping winston up all year and i take NONE of that back. still one of the most accurate qb i seen in the ncaa in a long time. however........i dont think i seen him with a dirty jersey all year. i just want to give you some fast facts. they have beat duke 17 times in a row. 18 looks like history. this year duke is 10-2. and out of them 18 times may have the best team and chance they have had yet. i hate to sound like john madden...but this is not over yet. i think they jumped on clemson so fast they panicked? i think it was that day that we all got surprised. fla st has had what appears to be a unstoppable passing game. if duke can get pressure on winston it may blow their mind. because no one else has. dont be surprised to see a bama auburn rematch. its all about the money. what do you think a end zone ticket would cost for that one? i remember they all cried alligator tears when bama and lsu played for the NC. but at game time....it was standing room only. and all this trash talk ...i will give ol les miles credit for something he said...what i seen was a bunch of kids having the time of their life. i dont see a loser involved.

As soon as the rankings came out, I thought about the possibility of a rematch. OSU and FSU would both have to lose. I know the entire country would hate that, and so would I. I didn't care for the Bama/LSU rematch. I thought another team deserved a shot, but the BCS was what we had to live with. Starting next year, rematches are probably inevitable with 4 teams making a playoff, but since a selection committee will be choosing the teams, it's possible some of that could be avoided.

I thought they looked good against A&M, holding that offense to just 21, but some of my friends seem to think it was because Manziel was not at his best due to a season's worth of running for his life and taking a few super-hard licks from LSU and Auburn.

That's true however he has been hurt for weeks and was still putting up the points. It's his defense that let him down this year, forced the poor guy to do too much, it was all on him.
For all the trash talking about Ohio State's cupcake schedule, why isn't anyone saying the same thing about Florida State? Who in the hell have they played? Clemson? If it wasn't for some questionable officiating in South Bend, the Big Ten title game could have had both teams going in undefeated. If Ohio State gets by Sparty (not a lock by any means) then they should be in the Championship game. I think that it's a moot point because they haven't seen a defensive unit like this all year. Of course none of this matters because somehow, someway they will find a way to get an SEC team into the title game.

you know i wasnt much on the 4 team playoff thing to start with. i was thinking more like 8. IMO if a team gives up 40 points to a team that is not ranked. they should go back a couple of steps. if mich st doesnt take out ohio st i will be surprised. they seem to have a good offence (i have not seen them play one game) but if you bring that kind of defense to a NC game it will be just like last year. a blowout. they have a decent team...but not a top 4 team. i said they would never beat both mich. teams back to back 2 weeks ago. we will soon see.
i agree...florida st has the 76 ranked schedule. that is weak. i take nothing back i said about winston he has a gun. but i say again...his jersey has not been dirty all year. (everyone go ahead and laugh) but that duke team they playing this week they have beat 17 times in a row. they have a 10-2 record this year. it may not be enough but they bringing everything but the kitchen sink. I SEE A REMATCH ON THE HORIZON . but i couldnt agree more. fla st is as unproven as ohip st
red face has been watching that short legged spotted horse back there in the dark. gaining every lap quietly. mizoo may shock the whole football world and take the whole thing. they got me twice this year. i am convinced. they have nothing to prove to me. they pretty dang good.
