:wtf:

if the decision were mine, i'd ban the motherfucker for at least one tournament + a million bucks. Or maybe some harder punishment.

FedError was in the house. 38 UE's. So many netted balls.

Djokadal final once again. Nadal moves up to 3rd in the points race. Will be 2nd if he wins.

What happened to feds? 3 and 2 to Nadal?

is really sad to see Roger like that. Or his evil twin, i must say.

you can't keep your chin up with 57% 1st serve points won. Or with 0/1 break points.

it's almost embarrasing. Actually, it's very embarrasing for someone like Roger.

But of course, the embarrasing is not (yet) humilliating: W, F, S, S, S is a decent season for him. He's no.2 in the race! (and he will, 'cause i don't think anyone can stop Nole these days)

in fact, Rafa didn't do much today. It was all Roger's mistakes. :anonymous

good for Rafa. His 2nd consecutive final. And beating Roger is always motivating.

next for both? Montecarlo. Murray won't play that one, Soderling neither. Roger would want to be in Nole's half (i think Rafa-clay is even better that Nole nowadays). And the QF's rival won't be much trouble: Verdasco, Melzer, Monfils, Almagro. :2 cents:

either way, if Roger doesn't do something radical, his goal will be SF, unless Rafa or Nole don't be in the tournament. :(

I first met Vika in 2004, when she was 15; a skinny, giggly chicklet, protected by her immediate family.

Now seven years later, she's a cool cat, coached by one of the finest guys on the tour, not very bright but a captivating lass. :lovecoupl

King Nole's reign continues. Perfect record for the first HC quarter of the season
Good match! Back and forth going to a deciding TB.

The streak may end in Monte Carlo though. Nadal has won there 6 times in a row.

The Nole form is just out of this planet:
- 4 titles in 3 months (including his 2nd Major)
- 26-0 (the Davis Cup final is officially of the 2011 season -in points-)
- beating GOAT's Roger (3) and Rafa (2) multiple times.
- He has 7 finals (5 titles) in the last 7 months.
- He is 8-0 against top-10 opponents in 2011

Just unbelievable. :hatsoff:

The bad news for Rafa:
- His season so far: Q, S, F, F. More than decent. But not enough for a GOAT candidate.
- Nole has won now 5 of the last 7 matches between them.
- He's no longer the supreme lion-heart warrior. Nole is now.
- His amazing serve of the US Open is gone. Is not bad, but not awesome like it used to be.
- 3rd straight final lost. If he lost another one, it will be the worst streak of his career...
- He'll complete 6 months without a title.
- His gap at the no. 1 is only 3.000 points now (a couple months ago was almost 6.000). And it get worst: next, is the 5.000 points to defend. Nole ? less than 1.000...
- This year he will play Barcelona (apart the 3 masters + Roland Garros). I don't care the schedule it's different than last year: he should skip it. Too much action.

The good news:
- He's no. 3 in the race, and it's veeeeery likely that surpass Roger in the next weeks.
- 2nd final of the year, 3rd in the last 4 months
- He fought. Hard. Didn't give up.
- Clay is coming.
- Nole will be tired in the next weeks. Specially if he plays Belgrade.

This week in the tour:

Houston 250
Projected SFs: Fish - GarciaLopez / Isner - Querrey.
I'd bet for Fish.

Morocco 250
Projected SFs: Montañés - Golubev / Simon - Baghdatis
I'd bet for Simon.

The bad news for Rafa:
- His season so far: Q, S, F, F. More than decent. But not enough for a GOAT candidate.

:surprise:

Rafa's season so far is actually much better than his performance during the same period last season.
Vamos Rafa.

agree. BUT, last year won EVERYTHING between MonteCarlo and Wimbledon , plus, the US Open.

what are the chances to repeat that? slim. He said it himself. Uncle Toni said it as well.

so, he should've take advantage of the 1st quarter of the season, and he didn't.

Don't get me wrong, please:
Like i said: is MORE than decent, but we're talking about a GOAT candidate here. Major words.

all in all, he's the 2nd best player of the world right now. And that's no small feat. Not at all.

His schedule: Monaco, Barcelona, Paris, Madrid, Roland Garros.

The really important, let's be honest, is Roland Garros. Roland Garros crown + one or two of the others: mission acomplished.

three or four of the other titles without Roland Garros: mission failed.

:2 cents:

^ Sure. I'd say the same thing if I was in his position. But in my head I'd be thinking I can do it. I think he can match last year's achievements on clay so long as he's fit.

We'll just have to wait and see. Vamos Rafa!!!

I read somewhere that Novak and RF don't get along too well. Is there any truth to this? :dunno:

Compared to the men, the women's game seems quite lame at the moment. It needs some new blood. :2 cents:

really ?

that's a surprise for me.

where did you read this ?

extremely lame.

the "new" blood is Kim, who came out of her retirement. And it has been awesome, winning 4 important (3 majos + Year-end championship) titles in 18 months

but she's too up-and-down, just like we saw in Indian Wells and Miami.

besides, no girl has the charisma of Roger or Nole or several other men.

the solution ? shorter skirts :drool1:

Roger Federer Can’t Play Lefties?!? Nonsense

http://www.worldtennismagazine.com/archives/4323

In fact, though he has lost 15 times to Nadal, he hasn’t lost to any other lefthanded player since Franco Squillari beat him in January of 2003.
Federer against all righthanded players: 687-154 or 81.7% wins.
Federer against all lefthanded players: 77-25 or 75.5% wins
Federer against lefthanded players, excluding Nadal: 69-10 or 87.3%.

I read it here. It's the 5th reply. :dunno:

I can't recall Novak acknowledging RF's as a possible GOAT. Rafa is my favourite player at the moment and RF is my no.2 but if I was asked who I thought is the GOAT IMO my answer would be RF. But that may change in a few years time. :2 cents:

I do. :tinhat:

http://communities.canada.com/montr...9/14/u-s-open-men-s-semis-what-they-said.aspx

"I have a big respect for all he has done throughout the years, and obviously making 20, 21, 2, 3, consecutive semifinals in the Grand Slams is a result that nobody ever done in the history of the sport. So definitely, you know, he's one of the best, even maybe the best player that ever played these games"

Rafa is my favourite player at the moment and RF is my no.2 but if I was asked who I thought is the GOAT IMO my answer would be RF.

my favorite right now is still Roger, but i root hard for Delpo as well.

and the GOAT is Laver, IMHO.

winning not once, but TWICE the Grand Slam is something ridiculous.

even more: he was amateur and won the GS, and then they said to him: "now you gotta play with the pro guys" It was like "ok, don't matter, i'll win anyway" and get it again
