BCT

Pucker Up Butter Cup.
The final Kansas/Missouri Border Showdown is not dissapointing, all knotted up at 10 in the 3rd quarter, that is why this a rivalry!

I wouldn't be so sure. The BCS system has been known to do some whacky things. Also, you have to remember that most of the country seems to really despise the SEC, and the last thing they want is two SEC teams in the BCS title game. In the past, the voters, and some coaches, have tried to influence the BCS rankings by voting (or not voting) in ways that could alter the BCS rankings. If you've got someone who doesn't fell Bama deserves a rematch, they could vote Okla State #1 and not vote for Bama to even be ranked. One person might not influence the outcome, but if several did this, who the hell knows what might happen. Of course, all this depends on Okla State beating the Sooners, but that's not gonna happen... Or is it...

now...im sUre!! see ya in new orleans rolllllllltideeeee till my face turns red.......one more thing GOOOO IRISH!!! did i say that??

Boilermakers are bowl eligible...

That means Coach Hope is going to be back next year. Fucking goddammit.

Clemson - what a fucking embarrassment :1orglaugh
How was this team ever 8 and 0?

Then you've got the joke that is the PAC 12 Championship Game :1orglaugh
UCLA will represent their division but has no chance of appearing in a bowl game :1orglaugh
The only real question is, how many combined points will USC and Oregon score against them over the next 7 days.
My prediction: 105

I don't understand how the hell ucla qualified to be in the Pac12 title game. Seriously. I think the conference needs to execute an immediate order removing the bruins and putting Arizona State in there. I actually think Colorado would give the Ducks a better game than ucla will at this point...

How 'bout them Trojans:D 2012/2013 National Champs (w/Matt Barkley) Rose Bowl without him!

USC's offense might be the best in the nation right now. Woods and Lee are uncoverable at the moment....I'd like to see USC's offense v LSU's defense

All the Bama fans I know are going ape-shit over this, believing this is all a done deal, so it would actually be comical if/when it doesn't.

Most of the voters are just looking for an excuse to keep Bama out of the title game, and it could happen if Oklahoma State puts a smackdown on the Sooners. I don't believe that's gonna happen, but in the unlikely event that it does, the final vote will be a close one.

Me too. I need a good laugh.

...and houston beating a 3 loss team..dont prove a lot to me ..

What if those 3 losses were to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Boise State?

This Michigan/Ohio State game is fun to watch!

I think Michigan is outperforming today. We'll see if the score reflects that at the end of the game.

Fantastic win for UM, but the defense was terrible.

Not so fast. I think if OSU beats OU next Saturday, they'll get enough push to get in. Remember, they are already have superior computer numbers, and playing OU will only help. Plus, remember in '06 when voters jumped Florida over Michigan even though Michigan barely lost to the number 1 team, Ohio State? That's basically the same exact situation we'd be in this year.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. But I think Barkley's gone. Btw ASU doesn't deserve to be in title game. They went 4-5 and blew the numerous chances they had. They lost to Washington State and Arizona in consecutive weeks. Unacceptable. Utah is the team that really blew it. All they had to do was beat sorry ass Colorado at home. They'd be 8-4 and be much more of a challenge than UCLA.

I have a serious question. You know how each conference is limited to two participants in the BCS? What the hell happens if Georgia beats LSU? Even if Alabama finished number 2, wouldn't they be ineligible to play in the title game, as Georgia and LSU would occupy the two BCS spots? No one is talking about this, I'm not sure anyone has realized this.

for bama it is a done deal man...as unfair as it looks and is (for lsu) bama now will be one of the teams in the NC..i have nO idea what in the hell is going to happen if georgia beats lsu..you gotta ask yourself even iF this happens?? would bama and lsu sTill be the best 2 teams in the country? i think so..lsu has had a tough ass road they may lose to georgia trying to get their breath...aNyway...lmao @ Me too. UCLA is going to get murdered by Oregon next week and finishing 6-7 and no bowl game, maybe a slight chance Rick Neuhiesle returns, much to my dismay.

LSU is going to have a harder time with Georgia than anyone thinks. LSU's defense unlike that of Alabama's had weakness's esp. when the secondary gets spread out which Georgia will be able to do to them.

LSU couldve played 4 Junior college teams non conference and theyd still considered the best team just because of the conference they play in

If Bama really gets into the BCS championship, the system is going to explode, I think OK. st. should get a second look if they win next week. The game they lost was not to a punching judy team, Iowa St. is going to a bowl game, and it was an emotional game for them, i wouldnt penalize them too much for that and put them above Bama if they beat OU next week.

Utah knew from day one they had no shot in hell at going to the National Championship game, and they knew best case scenario they could only get to a BCS Bowl. That was their goal.

Utah wanted to play for a National Championship instead of playing UA.

Everybody WANTS to play for a National Championship. The only difference is Alabama was less than 2 minutes from ACTUALLY playing in the National Championship, Utah always KNEW they wouldn't.

teams are really better off RUNNING ( like WKU) against LSU than passing.
The defense is BUILT to kill passing teams with guys like Mingo, Montgomery, Reid, Claiborne, Mathieu, Taylor, and Brooks
With 352 passing attempts this year, they've sacked QBs 32 times and snagged 16 interceptions (thats 1 every 22 passes), scoring off 2 of them

but not because they are the best team?
Is it conceivable that two of the best teams in the country could exist in the same conference? If so, then are we just wanting to include another team simply out of convenience to include a different conference in a payout?
Face it, the SEC has won the NC 6 times of the last 8 years.....there might be a reason to that

The game they lost was not to a punching judy team, Iowa St..
Iowa State is 6-5, 7th in the BXII with a 3-5 record. I agree that Iowa State is surging, but their other wins came against UNI, Iowa, UConn, Texas Tech (2-7), and Kansas (who their AD is lusting to get rid of Turner Gill)

Come on, man, come back to earth

The only done deal is LSU. From what the commentators are saying, LSU's numbers are too high for them not to play for the title, even with a loss to Georgia.

As for Bama, I think they'll get there, but as I said, if a miracle happens and the Cowboys crush the Sooners, don't cry foul if/when the voters tell Bama, "You had your chance and lost."

I found the answer earlier this week, and all three would get in, Alabama and LSU in the title game, and Georgia to the Sugar Bowl. Only situtation allowed that a conference can get three teams in.

trust me on this one guys...its not going to matter if okl st beats okl 100-0..tHey lost to iowah st....bama lost only by a field goal in overtime to the #1 team in the nation bama and lsu is in the title game i dont think anything can change that now..and now after allllll that!...i have said for the last 3 weeks dont count ga out..but..i dont think ga can beat lsu enough to beat bama or lsu to new orleans

You're just being stubborn.

In the past, voters in the human polls and coaches in their poll have tried to manipulate the final poll by voting a team higher than they deserve and/or much lower than they deserve. Trust me, the vast majority of the country doesn't want a LSU/Bama rematch and if the Sooners roll over, those voters are gonna try and fuck Bama out of that rematch.

Of course, all this is moot if Oklahoma destroys the Cowboys as they should.

Ron Zook is the first Ax to drop. I hope Neuhiesle is next at UCLA, i see a few other underachieving coaches getting the pink slip within the next 3 days. One thing the history of college football coaching security has shown on the side is that not beating your biggest rival will get you fired even if you went 8-3 or better against everyone else (where a few coaches might have trouble keeping their jobs past this season).
