Houston would give LSU a good game, not beat them, but they would give them a good run............ they gotta show me they can beat tulsa..beating lsu is a jOke..lets be real..oregon or bama didnt beat lsu..but you think houston could..like i said..they got their hands full friday after a whole year of cream puffs.FiNALLY they get to play a college team, they should be good and warmed up by now

LOL STD :stir: :D

Houston gave up 554 yards to UCLA's cap pistol offense in a 4 point home victory.

UCLA's quarterbacks, who struggle to even throw spirals, threw for more yardage in that game than Keenum.

LSU would totally destroy Houston.

Didnt say they could win. That defense is too sporadic for Houston esp. against opposing spread offenses which LSU does play. I did say that a game like that would see at least 40 points scored by both teams for sure.

if you're being serious, then you haven't seen either team play
Houston would be lucky to score 7 against LSU
Just go rewatch either the Houston vs La Tech or LSU vs Oregon/WVU and come back to reality

West Virginia put up 533 yards of total offense on LSU.

Oregon also had more offensive yards than LSU (335 to 273), but turnovers killed them. Oregon really beat themselves.

Still football left to be played... while all the speculation is fun, let's see what happens this weekend.

thats a good point will..thats why one time..and one time only me and lou holtz agree..lsu loses before the season is over..WV took the first 2 drives after half..and went straight down the field for tds...but houston is out of the question..i still say ..houston needs to think about what is right in front of them..they may be playing the hardest game they played all year friday

you didn't see the game, then.
WVU was getting eaten alive in the 1st half. LSU just rested on the lead in the 2nd. It wasn't even close

I'm starting to think you didn't watch the game or even the clip you just showed me. LSU didn't rest their starters in the opening 2nd half. WV drove and made it only a 7 point game in the 3rd quarter. Also, just like the Oregon game, turnovers and special teams really bailed LSU out.

Am I saying Oregon and West Virginia are better than LSU? No. But agaist the right match up, that LSU defense can be had. And I really don't trust Lee or Jefferson to play from behind. Unfortunately, there's no offense in the SEC that's capable of doing that.

Special teams was a problem for WV in that game in that once they got the lead down to 7, LSU took the ensuing kickoff back for a touchdown and that was the back breaker. Another problem west virginia had in the first half was that they couldnt finish what they started. They drove the ball fairly deep into LSU territorty 2 or 3 times but they ended up punting it away every time because they shot themselves with something idiotic. Had they been able to finish in the first half that game wouldve come down to the final possession at the end.

What those 2 games show (the orgeon game in there) is that LSU is vulnerable to the spread. Theyre weakness on defense is when teams have the athletes to spread them out all over the field which to what i said earlier, Houston would be able to do with ease

who said LSU "rested their starters"? I've seen the games, apparently you can't read
Neither WVU or Oregon matched up with the LSU defense. Both offenses are clicking off 70+ snaps on offense in a game, off course they're getting 'yards'. Against great defenses they are also giving the ball away.

quit fucking around. Did you see what happened to that Houston offense against Louisiana TECH?!

Houston can match up with Claiborne, Mathieu and Reid let alone their pass rush?

Lol at this Houston - LSU talk. Houston would get demolished. Hell, Boise State would demolish Houston. Houston - Auburn would be a good matchup. Houston - LSU is a joke. And I'm one of the guys here who has historically stood up for small conference teams. UCLA and Louisiana Tech are better than alot of us are giving them credit for, but please neither one would win any more than 2 games playing in the SEC West. Mississippi State, who is 1-6 in the SEC, beat La Tech, who is 1st place in the WAC. Houston's schedule reveals barely anything about how strong Houston really is.

For the record, I'm pretty sure Diva was being sarcastic.
