 boring!

top half:
Pavlyuchenkova, Peer, Hantuchova or Radwanska

bottom half:
Kirilenko, Petrova, Cibulkova or Katya Bondarenko

After the way Venus played today I would not count her out. I don't see Kirilenko over Kuznetsova, even though she was lucky to get through her match today. Defend champ=she will defeat Kirilenko.

^^ I was just naming my favorites. Coolness doesn't necessarily trump skills.

If you ask me for the REAL semifinals... well...

Serena or Zheng - Jankovic
Dementieva - Wozniacki (if she is well)

Who do you like on the women's side? Hopefully Wozniacki will make a good run.

top half: Sharapova, Henin
bottom half: Kuzzie, Wozzie (Wozniacki), Venus

Leche- was that a recent pic of Hingis? I never thought she was much until I saw that photo of her

2008, i think. She looks pretty stunning, huh ? :thefinger (love her hips)

in the meantime, still raining in Paris... :(

Well, Monfils lost. Serves him right for the way he acted yesterday. He should have been respectful of his opponents wishes to pause the match after it got that dark.

^
Totally agree. Monfils is a gutless coward and a poor sport. He was obviously playing like shit himself and could've used the extra time to let his opponent cool off and think even longer about the upset bid....

What an idiot he is!!!!:mad:mad:

If you saw some of the camera angles from the dark it was damn near impossible to see. I understand the gamesmanship about having all his fans there, but dude, then Fognini got penalized. That was shitty all around. Monfils knew he would be in trouble if he came back the next day.

I don't know if Monfils thought he would be in trouble. He had won the first 2 sets of the match and was barely hanging on, right?

I think Monfils should've asked for a suspension say when it was 1-1 in the 5th?

I know I would've if I were playing you :thefinger

Eh, nothing like a little gamesmanship. The real question is, will Monfils - a superb ball striker - ever win a major? :dunno: You would think the home turf would be his best bet but he lost to a qualifier. :1orglaugh

The real question is, will Monfils - a superb ball striker - ever win a major? :dunno:

definitely NOT.

I mean, he's already 23 (same as Rafa and Nole, older than Delpo...) and he has ONLY 2 titles. That is unaceptable for someone that want to win a major.

He has no grand slam finals and only 1 in Masters 1000. Hell, he only has 1 grand slam SF.

Also, he's mentally weak. I remember last year the R16 US Open: Monfils won the first set in an spectacular tie-break, got the momentum, and then, he cracked 3-1-3. And Rafa had abs problems at that time...
Something like it in 2008 Roland Garros SF against Roger: he won the 2nd set, but then cracked down.
And above all: he has lost 7 of his 9 career finals! what does that tell you ??? oponents too good? let's see: Monaco, Petzschner, Almagro... hmmmm

so, to all of you Monfils fans out there: he's tough and all, but he won't be remembered as a great one

:2 cents:
