Yeah those uniforms suck. From the back it looks like they're wearing hernia trusses :1orglaugh

Even though they aren't my favorite team I think UCLA's classic unis (which they still wear at times) with the old school script are the best around.

I'm shocked, shocked to read this... I had no idea you felt this way about the worthless ones' unis....

I think the worthless ones need to standardize their color scheme. I noticed 2 different "golds" and 2 different blues:1orglaugh

:nono: The gutties need to have something on their helmets. If they go with gold only...they'd be trying to ripoff the irish...and that would Double Offend ME!

The USC/ucla game needs to be played with both teams wearing home uniforms for the game like in the old days.

agreed bodie, i love those old ucla unis.

one thing about rivalry weekend, sleep at the wheel, lose on the field. never would have guessed that bama/auburn would go down to the wire. but it was a fun game to watch, brilliant TD play by bama to take the go ahead lead and arenas is special. gratz on that win CunningStunts!

A&M gave UT fits, South Carolina probably knocks Clemson out of the rankings with their win, Mississippi State wollups favoured Ole Miss, and grats RWill on the sooners taking down the ranked pokes. I forgot if there's a name for that rivalry but maybe that win will take some of the sting out of the season?

we got ND in a little bit....hoping we can win this and get in a decent bowl. and then there's the big game later. doesnt really matter the rankings or records, USC/UCLA is a classic rivalry in my neighborhood so can't wait to end the day with that one.

Now its time to make some game munchies and the beer is ice cold. stuck on Tahoe with the family for the holiday weekend. hope everyone else had a great holiday if applicable.

The powder blue and gold is a great combo and contrast. And that script is way cooler than standard block script.

Um, it already is. Neuheisel proposed that idea to Carroll last year. They agreed so starting with last year's game that tradition is back. How could you not know that? Too busy sucking Traveler's dick? :spump:
...

Hmmm....a good wish disguised as a backhand taunt? I never trust anything uttered from..wait, your that wacky Cardinal

In other news....CBS just announced that Bob Stoops flew to ND after the big win over Chokie State:rolleyes:

Karl Dorrell pussed out and took a pass when Pete FIRST floated the idea to resurrect this. I thought the bruins basically chickened out. Why would I expect anything different from neuweazel?

I need to get my act together a bit...

Here's the news:
CBS just reported that Bob Stoops is flying to ND. If this is true, this must be a way for ND to ~burn~ ol' Charlie....

I really thought Bob Stoops was a total longshot for ND. Oklahoma is a power program with equal tradition to ND, imo....why would he leave?

Dorrell
UCLA's answer to Paul Hackett.
What a gawdawful hire that was. Set that program back at least 5 years, probably more.

So what's your prediction on my Ducks next Thursday?
Do they blow it, as usual?
If they get to the Rose Bowl I think they'll handle Ohio State, but can they get past the Beavers to get there?
This is the first time in the long history of "The Civil War" (Oregon/Oregon State game) where both teams are playing for a Rose Bowl bid.

^
I think it's part of the Nike Combat thing...the Gators are playing in completely new unis. I guess Nike doesn't think much of Gator orange. The Nike Design team really likes the color white apparently....

I guess it is a Nike thing as every team is gonging new (old) unis....

I actually DID have expectations for Hackett. He had a very "Charlie Weis-ish" resume I though...:o Karl Dorrell was a total flyer hire...it was a crapshoot.

I think Oregon will roll over the Beavers with relative ease. I think the Beaver QB is pretty bad.

An Oregon v Ohio State Rose Bowl is very intriguing. On paper, it's a close game because OSU's Defense is legit. Oregon will have to play awesome, which they do in Bowl Games....so....hmm. I think they will be a slight favorite over the Buckeyes and win a close game.

OK TR.
Do you think Stanford can cover a 10 point spread vs Notre Dame?

I had this game circled on my calendar as my lock of the year back in September, but 1) back then I expected Stanford would come into the game as a dog, and 2) I'm concerned that with all the hype and emotion surrounding the game the Domers might win one for the bloated gipper on his way out. What say you? I've got 15 minutes to get a bet down and I'm leaning towards making a nominal one instead of a biggie.

As bad as these college football unis look for the most part (I think the FSU unis were awesome)...this Nike Combat Bullshit is also trickling into the world of World Football (Soccer). I saw a photo on a soccer jersey website that showed the Portugal National Team's Nike Combat jersey for the upcoming World Cup...horrendous!! Hell, let me post a photo of it here....hold on a sec...

Does that not look like underwear:rolleyes::eek:

There will probably be other nations who make the same mistake. Probably Brazil, Holland, maybe other Nike nations?

Really? I'm a HUGE Duck fan, but I think Canfield's played very well this year. Should be an awesome game regardless!

I think Stanford will cover the spread. The irish can't stop the run. Gerhart should step on them all game long. The irish don't have a rushing attack to cause anyone any concern. However, the irish are tough passing the ball. That's the only way I see them beating Stanford, is if Jimmy throws for 400/5 tds...

I say bet SMALL--MEDIUM sized bet. Don't "bet the farm" so to speak...;)

The irish aren't playing to save Big Boy's job. He's gone. They would be playing to send him out with a win and I don't see them sustaining any momentum throughout the entire game. I think the Cardinal will break their will with physical football.....

I really only base my opinion on the USC/Beavs game and I really wasn't that impressed by Canfield. SC was up 21-9 at half, dominated the first half but did have to hold on for the win.

The Pac10 season stats do point toward Canfield being the statical passing leader of the conference. I think the Ducks matchup well against the Beavs. The Ducks are the best pass defending team in the conference and have racked up 30 sacks, #2 in the conference.

OK. Small/medium it is. I'm also going to play a 10 point teaser: Stanford (even), Houston (-20) and UCLA (+23).

How does this bet work? USC can't be 23 pt favs against the worthless ones? The last I saw was 13? I KNOW we're going to beat them by 13...but 23 :)o well...that might be a bit optimistic:o 30 - 10 SC win seems more likely )

How does this bet work?

Those numbers in quotes are with the 10 teaser points added or subtracted from the actual spread. So Stanford +10 becomes a coin flip. Houston -30 becomes Houston -20, and UCLA +13 becomes UCLA +23. The catch is you have to win all three games to win the bet, and it only pays 9 to 10 odds.
