USC's pride is at stake. I've stayed out of range of LA media but I'm sure every LA media type is excoriating USC and "falling in love":lovecoupl: with ucla this week.....

We need to send a message this weekend. The Defense better fucking show up after being torn apart by the Eggheads and the Quacks....:mad:

Bring me the bruins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You must have forgotten the scores of pretty much every SC/ucla game in recent history.

Not at all.

But those USC teams didn't make a habit of getting bent over and forced to cry "mommy!" like this USC team has :helpme: .....:D

Also, in one of those recent games the Bruins knocked the heavily favored Trojans out the national championship game. Ouch!

My guess on this one is USC 17 UCLA 13

Really? I wasn't even aware UCLA was still playing football this season. They've been pretty much nonexistent since the Tennessee win.

I could really care less about USC, but even I have to take SC in a blowout. 35-10.

dahhhh........the backups was in to protect the starters.....and we just polished off the whole sec........if you wanna call them school of the blind..and we #2 team in the nation,,,some think #1.....what is your team ranked????:wave2: oh one more thing...we have won 23 of our last 25

OHHHH my team is ranked higher than your team, dude you sound like a little school boy. Oh you might have won 23 out of the last 25, but you choked harder than a amature deepthroating mandaingo in the SEC championship game and the Sugar bowl. Untill you actually win one of them this season then talk to me about how great bama is. Cause right now you play a good season but choke when it matters. Kinda like the Buffalo Bills of the mid 90's.

Don't they teach English in 'bama?

Scoreboard 1861-1865

Only in the BCS can a 2 loss school out rank a 1 loss school. Oregon ranked 8 at 9-2 and Pitt ranked 9 and 9-1, even though the AP and USA poll both have oregon at 10. Also another interesting thing in the BCS poll USC is STILL ranked in the top 25 dispite being 7-3.

Can't ignore strength of schedule. Pitt has one loss, but their opponents are mid-level nobodies who were easy to beat. They won't face a real opponent until they see Cincy in December. Oregon has knocked off three ranked opponents (#6 Cal, #18 Utah and #5 USC) and lost to two top tier teams in Boise St and Stanford (who should still be ranked, IMO). As long as we're stuck with the BCS, strength of schedule can't be ignored when ranking teams. (BTW, I'm not saying that Pitt isn't a better team. They might be. I don't know. Just explaining why Oregon is ranked higher.)

Strength of schedule: Reason number 1,379 why college football needs a playoff.

I knew it was a reason I liked you even though you are a Tide fan I still want to know the reason why they lost to Utah :dunno:

Not difficult to figure that one out... they were 1 qtr away from playing OU for the NC, and ended up playing a non-BCS team in the Sugar Bowl... let down was imminent against a very good and very motivated Utah team, playing in the biggest game of their program's history.

And for the haters, Bama has the best SOS of any team in the top 8. So if you want to hate on weak ass schedules, don't hate the champ of the toughest division in college football who opened up with a pre-season top 10 OOC team in ATL... there are MUCH easier targets for easy schedules out there. ;)

ha. Too bad those two losses were huge choke jobs.

23 of your last 25 is good.

0 out of 2 in games that matter is not good.

exactly, good job choking in the sec championship game and the Sugar bowl.

Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!
Apparently Jimmy Clausen got involved in a bar fight hours after the ND/UConn game - like Notre Dame needs more drama right now.

^^I disagree. Notre Dame is attracting fairly good talent, if there was a really great coach I fully believe that this could very consistently be a top 15 program, perhaps a top ten.

Not likely a national title program, though.

They are not really attracting anything near Top 10 talent. Those football recruiting ratings are much like the basketball ratings. Win a basketball recruit commits to Duke all of a sudden they shoot up the rankings. Same thing with Notre Dame.

Look at who the NFL drafts these days. It’s not Notre Dame. Of course teams like Ohio State, Florida, USC, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, LSU etc are producing more NFL talent, but nowadays teams like Rutgers, South Carolina, South Florida, Missouri etc are producing more NFL talent.

They don’t get any top recruits on defense and almost none at the skill positions. The vast majority of their top recruits are of the 3 star variety and are at positions like tight end, full back and big but slow lineman.

If you look at the recruits that pick Notre Dame they are not beating out the big schools to get them. The mid-west is rapidly shrinking in as a percentage of the population and therefore is producing fewer top recruits proportionally when compared to the South, Southwest and Pacific Coast.

The Midwest is dominated by Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State, but these days schools outside the region like USC, Alabama, Florida, come in and get as many 4 and 5 star players as Notre Dame.

:wtf:
notre dame has the highest number of players to go into the nfl of any team in the country.

I agree that right now they aren't terribly significant. I'm saying with good coaching they could be. Don't believe me? Look at TCU and Cincinnati. Think they're tearing it up because they have the most NFL picks? Good coaching at a moderate program can make amazing things happen.

Notre Dame's problem is they can't recruit blue-chip defensive talent. Usually southern schools, USC, Ohio State and Penn State get the top notch defensive talent. I think Notre Dame's academic standards are preventing them from coming.
