The Ducks looked fantastic in fact....how they lost to Boise State is beyond comprehension (unless, of course, Boise State is THAT good).

It's called a fluke. New coach, some new staff, new O-line. Boise St didn't "win" that game (they were ugly too) as much as Oregon "lost" it. Sometimes the Ducks are their own worst enemy, and that day that was truer than ever. Boise St is a good team, for sure, but nowhere near as good as they're being proclaimed. Oregon and USC have one big thing in common; bad days against inferior teams (Boise St and Washington, respectively).

...oh, and congrats to Ohio State's newest quarterback sensation, DeVier Posey, and his 39-yard TD pass...the longest pass of the day!

Before this weekend I thought Iowa were complete frauds...but after what they did today, I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe they are legit afterall....:dunno:

Oregon is in the driver's seat. If Iowa loses, maybe there's a Rose Bowl rematch of Oregon v Boise State:thefinger

No, it has to be someone from the Big 10.

If Ohio State wins out, they go to the Rose Bowl. No voting, no polls.

Unless they totally thrash LSU nothing bama does in the next four weeks can move them up in my poll. They'll only move up if teams ahead of them lose.

well if you see bama as #7...i dont know what season you in???

Why? Because they beat Indiana? :wtf:

I'm not saying that they are bad,but c'mon,it's fucking Indiana! they just blew a huge game last week against Northwestern.

Iowa hasn't t played anyone worth a shit outside of the Big 10,and they still have to go to The Big House.

There is no need to denegrate Boise State just because Oregon looks like world beaters right now. Oregon almost lost to Purdue and didn't exactly blow out Utah or ookla.

Boise State has barely broken a sweat all season long including the Oregon game. Yes Oregon played bad but Boise plays a version of the spread offense, just without the option QB. Boise knew how to defend Oregon's offense. They beat them in Autzen last year.

Accept it America. Boise State will be playing in the BCS this year.

I'm just assuming that SC will end up in the Holiday Bowl, but I'm not so sure anymore. Coach Carroll is going to have his hands full not letting internal strife (the blame game) tear the team apart...

They were down what 21-7 and rallied in the 4th to blow them out. The year Ohio State took down the U in the Fiesta (2002?) they barely won every game that year. Close call wins build character...:dunno:

But...it's Indiana! All they do is find ways to lose games. The past two weeks are proof of that.

a few lurking predictions:
-Cincinnati will win, but Syracuse will scare them. 10 point game. nope.
-Purdue is going to whip Wisconsin hahahahaha. nope.
-no one cares about ohio st. and new mexico correct
-N.C. State over Florida State by two score nope
-Housten is going down to southern Miss looked possible, but nope.
-Florida is going to struggle, but win. not so much.
-USC will lose to Oregon by a fieldgoal yes. by nine fieldgoals
-Texas will cream Oklahoma state. correct

just my own thoughts and hopes. i like underdogs!

I think I might need to keep my dayjob...

My top 10 teams:

1. Texas(you need to jump on the Texas bandwagon Jagger69)
2. Florida
3. Alabama
4. TCU
5. Boise St.
6. Cincinnati
7. Oregon
8. LSU
9. Ohio St.
10. Penn St.

How good Kansas State is? UCLA, despite their starting quarterback missing the game with a broken jaw, dispatched K State fairly easily, and the Bruins haven't won a game since. They're 0 and 5. I'm sure K State has improved some since then, but still....... :dunno:

That's the reason why I was so shocked. OU jumps on them 21-0 in the first quarter.... then it's 24-28 in the 3rd quarter. K-State is a much improved team... kind of like Oregon(sort of).

okay, just because maildude encouraged me. here's the lurking 10 for this week:

1. Alabama
2. Texas
3. Florida
4. TCU
5. Oregon
6. Cincinnati
7. Boise St.
8. LSU
9. Penn St
10. Oklahoma
