you make a good point. These are the kind of numbers that Teebow was supposed to put up, and he's not. Plus, Keenum really seems to have not only the respect of his team, but good control over the team. That's the stuff of Heisman quality players, I think.

meh, everyone has bad days. Where do you think they would be ranked without that loss?

Well, Tebow never has put up those kind of passing stats but he certainly has scored a lot of rushing TDs so that's what makes him so special (he broke Herschel Walker's career record just a few minutes ago in fact).

As an unbeaten, I think Houston would likely be ranked at least 9th in the media polls and maybe 8th (either ahead of or just behind TCU). BCS? Who the fuck knows how they figure that shit out??? Alas, they have a loss so they have no shot to be the BCS busters they looked to be when they beat Texas Tech a number of weeks ago. :(

Miami tanking it AGAIN against (ugh!)....Wake Forest???

27-14 in the 3rd. Lo, how the mighty have fallen. Or so it would seem....maybe Harris will lead them back.

Go Illini!

My God! Where has THIS been all year??? Michigan in serious trouble in the 4th....

yeah, miami pulled it out.

Notre Dame is looking mighty good here. But what a stupid freaking situation - this is a "home" game. in texas. against washington state. wtf?

Hey guys, just made it back home after a road trip to Wisconsin for the Badgers vs. Purdue. My beloved Boilermakers put on a great show in Madison today losing 37-0! Really? Are you fucking kidding me? I gathered 11 of my closest friends, rode in an RV for 5 hours, partied all night on Friday, and watched my team absolutely lay an egg at Camp Randall Stadium. That was the most pathetic football game I've ever attended. It's a good thing we just didn't go up there for the game. We would have been disappointed. It was a great time despite Purdue's poor performance. How does a team that upset the Buckeyes lose this badly to the Badgers? That is the enigma that is Boilermaker football.

Texas in command so far at the half against OSU, 24-7. Their defense is fucking terrific and it seems that, slowly but surely, the offense is offering some other options than just McCoy to Shipley. The catch that Malcolm Williams made on that TD late in the half was a thing of beauty....if he can start to be a part of the receiving threat along with Shipley (obviously he's the go-to guy) along with Marquise Goodwin....we may just have the balance going forward we need. Not counting on anything yet....there's still a half to play.

USC and the Ducks doing battle, 24-17 Ducks at the half....haven't had a chance to see much of it but it looks like Oregon is able to move the ball against the Trojans like few teams have so far this year. If I was a USC fan, I'd be a little concerned right now.

We'll see how the second halves of these very important games play out.

Well, hopefully you had plenty to drink in spite of the crushing defeat. It's tough when your team just gets wiped out like that. Sorry, Ry.

The Trojans are finished. I am shocked at how bad our defense really is. We have nothing in the LB position. Yeah we lost all those players to the NFL but we're supposed to have talent waiting.

It looks like we're in for the worst beatdown in the history of SC football under Pete Carroll. I am shocked at how well Oregon looks on offense.

Playing in the Holiday Bowl hasn't harmed Texas. I think as long as we beat whomever we play in the Holiday Bowl, we'll be back next year.

Congrats to Oregon for looking fantastic tonight. :weeping:

Texas' defense is amazing. Their secondary just swarms all over the field. Robinson never had a chance against them tonight. They definitely had their "A" game working against OSU.

The Trojans' weaknesses on defense were totally exposed tonight. Masoli ran a masterful offensive game plan against them and they were powerless to stop them. The Ducks looked fantastic in fact....how they lost to Boise State is beyond comprehension (unless, of course, Boise State is THAT good).

I wonder what the results today will do to the BCS. Since Alabama was idle and Texas was so dominant, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Longhorns reclaim their former #2 ranking.

By the way, TCU just keeps on killing the competition. They get no love nor press from anyone....talk about a sleeper team!

Florida looked great against Georgia today on both sides of the ball. If Alabama looks less-than-dominant against LSU next week and the Gators and Longhorns roll once again, there may be a significant shift in my poll. We'll see....

So....here's the latest Jagger69 Top 10 poll just out tonight:

1) Alabama
2) Florida
3) Texas
4) Cincinnati
5) Iowa
6) Boise State
7) TCU
8) Oregon
9) LSU
10) Georgia Tech

I don't assume anyone watched the Kansas State/Oklahoma game. If you watched the first quarter you probably turned it off. If you stayed tuned like me... you probably watch a very entertaining game.

I can't believe how good Kansas State is. Before the game, I actually predicted a Kansas State win... but I didn't predict the game would turn out the way it did.

OU looked like the 2008 Oklahoma. High-octane offense followed by a lazy defense. But I'll give Kansas State credit... they looked awesome.

OU 42, Kansas St. 30

Could we see a USC vs Oklahoma? I would like a little payback from 2004. :thefinger

Florida is #1
Texas is #2
Bama is #3
It's a logjam for the rest of the spots. The only way Bama ascends to #1 is if Florida loses or they beat Florida in the SEC Champ. Texas is clearly at the minimum the #2 team in the nation. I wonder if they're aren't #1.

I think Boise State is worthy of playing in the BCS against anybody, but I don't think Boise State is the 4th best team in the nation or better.

My Trojans are stuck in the early 2000s. College offenses are evolving and our Defense is stuck in the past. Oregon had us running around like clueless chickens tonight. Maybe the way to defend a Spread Option attack is to change Defense alignment completely. 3 DL, 3 LB, 5 DBs. Or 3 DL to clog the middle 2LBs to contain QB and 6 DBs to cover WRs and clean up everything else. :dunno:

BCS Championship -- Florida v Texas
Rose -- Oregon v Iowa
Sugar -- Bama v TCU
Orange--Boise v Cincy
Fiesta --Miami v LSU

We almost have too many BCS games now....I'm not sure Miami or LSU deserve going to the BCS this year....

That would be a tasty matchup for sure. I sort of thought that the Cowpokes were still ahead of the Sooners even after tonight's loss. But I suppose USC would play the winner of the OU/OSU game (the Bedlam Game?)

I assume SC will win out but really...who knows how SC will respond to this ass kicking. They could go in a tailspin and not care about winning out....:dunno:

I was very surprised not to see the K-State-OU game on TV here in Houston today. We've seen every other game they've played so far this year I think. Yeah....Snyder being back has already made a big difference for the Wildcats. They may be the best team in the North this season (ain't saying much!).

Well, like I said, OU looked like 2008 Oklahoma. Landry Jones looked like Sam Bradford and Demarco Murray looked like the best RB in the nation. Ryan Broyles is now are most important player on offense.... he was sick!!!

Maybe Texas and Oklahoma just needed a defensive ass kicking to wake themselves up on offense. :dunno:

That will change after November 14.

Before this weekend I thought Iowa were complete frauds...but after what they did today, I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe they are legit afterall....:dunno:

Oregon is in the driver's seat. If Iowa loses, maybe there's a Rose Bowl rematch of Oregon v Boise State:thefinger

You were right about Autzen, TR. It was super loud - even moreso and at a more sustained level than I expected, or had experienced before in person. Definitely the Duck's twelfth man.

I can't believe how good Kansas State is.

How good Kansas State is? UCLA, despite their starting quarterback missing the game with a broken jaw, dispatched K State fairly easily, and the Bruins haven't won a game since. They're 0 and 5. I'm sure K State has improved some since then, but still....... :dunno:
