The final impression of 2008 (and early impression of 2009) was that Oregon was going to unload on everyone offensively "next season" because they put up a ton of points and yards in their final game and looked so good doing it. So I think Bodie was just admitting *shock* that Oregon, with the same players, against a "supposed" inferior opponent (you called BSU embarrassing a few posts ago, right?) did not look like a lethal offensive MACHINE.
You're just proving my point. Things don't turn out the way they ended a season ago. A game between Boise State and Oregon doesn't dictate how Big 12 defenses are going to play.
The reason why I said Pac 10 teams should be ashamed of what Oregon did, was because that perfromance was just god awful(0 first downs in first half). If Boise wasn't so sloppy, that score could have been much worse. Plus, the scene at the ended of the game was just an embarrassment.
It was embarrassing for my Sooners to lose agains't Boise at that time they played, because everyone was saying "David vs Goliath", and how Boise had no shot. That game will never be forgotten, and will live with me until the day I die.
If we don't use the final game of a season to gauge the next season--than why do most people think Florida is the best team in the nation right now and a lock to get the title game?
I personally think it's stupid. Plus, Oregon killed Oklahoma State last year, but yet Oklahoma St is ranked way ahead Oregon this season. How much can you buy into what happened in the bowl games?
