I'm rooting for Texas just because of smokinn
Texxxas will win this game by 10 pts. I don't think Bama is half as good as the SC team of 2005 that Texxxas took down back then. The Rose Bowl appears to be Texas's home-away-from-home, as in, they lately play quite well on that hallowed field....

I don't think Bama will actually score an offensive TD. I think Javier Arenas will take a punt back and Bama's D will intercept McCoy. The Bama QB won the SEC Championship game for Bama, but it's been so long since that game that he will inevitably come out *flat*....

I know from watching OU playing Stanford, it's going to be a difficult match-up. Big 12 teams are designed to defend the spread and are not use to seeing teams with 2-3 tight end sets.
I think Alabama plays a much different game than the one in the SEC championship. They're going to run the ball until Texas shows they can defend it.
It should be interesting.

That is the key matchup. Texas' defense is #1 in the nation against the run, but most of the teams in the Big 12 don't have big time runners like Ingram and Richardson. If Alabama can run the ball, Texas is in trouble. If Texas can force the Tide into a lot of third-and-longs, advantage Longhorns.

I think Texas's defense is underrated. I think Bama's is solid, but not spectacular. I think Texas will do enough and figure out ways to score. I think Texas will shut down Bama's run game and force McElroy to pass to win. I think Texas matches up quite well with whatever passing attack Bama will throw at them.
