It's a dead heat between California, Texas and Florida. Look at the rosters of Division 1 schools all across the nation and you'll be amazed to see how many kids come from those three states. Oklahoma would be a doormat in the Big 12 if they didn't get a ton of prime recruits from Texas. It's a strategy that Bud Wilkinson capitalized upon back in the '50s to build a number of national championships and continues to this day.
Man don't say that but you know I did hear this old saying thins happen in threes. He would be the third person from Oklahoma but we are going to think postive.
There's been more than three: Sam Bradford, Jermain Gresham, Ryan Broyles, Demarco Murray have all missed games. Blake was the latest to get hit by the curse.
It's spreading off campus!

Did anyone hear Texas Tech coach Mike Leach go off on a rant about his players and their "fat little gfs" recently?

Well, they do say Oklahoma is the "other Texas University". Most of our current roster is from Texas.
Texas is a big state, there's plenty to go around. :hatsoff:

Strawberry Canyon isn't all that bad.
The others are intimidating, but I'm not sure they're any moreso than roadies in any other major conference. I've been to Husky Stadium and Autzen and yeah they're raucous and LOUD. But I've also been to Ross-Ade, The Big House, Texas Memorial....and they were equally so.

They may be intimidating but no place is as intimidating as Death Valley in Baton Rouge. LOUDEST stadium (100,000 screaming coon-asses) EVER.
I agree though....very difficult road schedule, T-rock. Too bad they choked up that game at Washington. You have to hope for a loss by one of the SEC twins and a loss by Texas to have a shot at the national championship. IF you win out that is. It could happen....:dunno:
Trap game tonight for Va Tech? Butch Davis's Heels got burned in a huge comeback by a schizophrenic FSU team at home last week. Now, they go on the road to Blacksburg for what has to be a must win for them if they are to expect to maintain any hope to be bowl-eligible (any fantasies about the Coastal Division crown are long-gone, Butchie-boy!). Do they have a chance or is this the kill shot about to be delivered by the Hokies?
I'm betting the latter....Beamer should have his troops ready for this one. VT's D is way too stout for UNC....it might be a blowout in fact. I expect Tyrod Taylor to go off tonight. Bottom line is....Va Tech is just a better team and they gotta have this win to keep their hopes of a division title alive.
Virginia Tech 38, UNC 17
What say ye?
