Stunning upset Creighton pulled at home against Wichita St.; Wichita State's defense at the last possession of the game was poorly executed - I mean seriously, with 10 seconds left in the game, why didn't they commit a foul? Great win by Creighton, though; they looked like the more hungry and more energized team today.

Not too stunning. Creighton has a strong bench presence, and they use their guards effectively. Good call on the :10 foul situation. A coaching gaffe?

True. I should also point out that Creighton is now 8-1 at home this year, so no visiting team should take anything for granted when they play the Bluejays at the Qwest Center this season.

Nice win Xavier pulled out against conference rival Dayton. Dayton missed too many key free throws that ultimately cost them the game, and Xavier showed superior perimeter play, but they have be concerned about crashing the boards and hustle points when they meet Dayton on the road later this season (Xavier was outrebounded 51-34). BTW, what was with the crappy clock in that game?

Tough loss Illinois St. had to swallow against Drake today; Drake's guards got the upper hand on their home court today, and Osiris Eldridge didn't get enough support from his Rebird teammates.

Something worth noting for tonight: #9 Kansas St. is favored over #1 Texas in Manhattan, Kansas.

KSU is actually a 1.5-point favorite over Texas (according to Vegas odds), as I type. That means if things go as planned - or at least as planned by oddsmakers - Kentucky will be the only remaining undefeated team on Tuesday morning.

Looks like Siena is on track on securing an automatic bid in the MAAC; starting 8-0 in conference play ain't that bad.

The 'Cats beating the Longhorns isn't a huge issue. Martin coaches an underneath game and that is where Texas has weaknesses. Samuels is a real talent.

As a Longhorn fan I would have like to see the streak continue but it's pretty unrealistic to think anyone's going undefeated this year. K-State is a really good team and we just got beat on the road after a string of tough games. It happens. I still like our personnel and depth better than anyone's so we'll see what happens going forward.

Thank God it ain't college football....otherwise, their national championship hopes might be gone!

A hot, well coached 13-4 Northwestern team comes to Columbus tonight to face the #21 Buckeyes.

Go Bucks!

I would like to go, but we went to the Blue Jackets game last night so I doubt I can get away with it.

They're a different team with Turner back. And beware "The Juice!"

Other games on tap tonight:

#15 Purdue @ Illinois (critical game for Illinois if they want to make a statement for an at-large bid)
#16 Clemson @ #18 Georgia Tech
#22 Northern Iowa @ Wichita St. (let's see how the newly-ranked handle the hostile environment in Wichita)

That Panthers/Shockers game is the one to watch. Koch can bury threes, and WSU split with Creighton and has a consistent player in Clevin Hannah. What channel is this game on, if any?

I don't know, I think Kentucky could go undefeated... no saying they will, but they play in a pretty weak conference and their talent is second to none... Tennessee is the only one in their conference that could pose a threat.

Oh yeah of course it is possible but I just think it is unlikely. Usually a team gets ambushed somewhere along the line....it's a long season. We'll see. Either way, a loss is not nearly as impactful in college basketball as it is in football and I would expect Texas to be a #1 tournament seed unless the wheels fall off somehow.

UConn is gonna be without head coach Jim Calhoun due to a medical leave of absence - I'm not if they will be able to pick up some positive momentum with his absence, given their recent struggles on the court.

No easy wins in the Big 12 this year. I expect Kansas to also lose 1 or 2 games in Big 12 play.

By tourny time.... I still got Kansas.
