Give Cornell credit. They regularly lead the Ivy Leaguers in basketball. Hell, I'd pick them over anybody...in the Ivy League.

Didn't mean to take credit away from Cornell - they do have a soild team, and it certainly doesn't hurt to have 7 seniors leading the way. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with in the Ivy League.

Stonger? Debatable. Deeper? No way.

I don't know how deep Texas is, but having Thomas Robinson, Tyshawn Taylor, Markieff Morris, and Tyrel Reed coming off the bench, is pretty impressive to me.

I know for sure Kansas has the best starting 5, especially with Sherron Collins at the point.

That is the team to beat in the Big 12 this year

After #22 Washington's loss to Arizona St. tonight, it's safe to say that no Pac-10 team will be ranked in the polls next week.

Bottom line: Pac-10 basketball this year - UNWATCHABLE. Just thinking about that conference makes me feels like having an anal evacuation.

Key games on Saturday:

#4 Purdue @ #20 Wisconsin
#5 Duke @ #17 Georgia Tech
#10 Kansas St. @ Missouri
#13 UConn @ #12 Georgetown
UNLV @ 14 New Mexico
#24 BYU @ UTEP
Northern Iowa @ Illinois St.

My upset picks: Missouri over Kansas St., UTEP over BYU

Northern Iowa is on a tear. They have proven that they are the team to beat in the MVC after today's victory @ ISU.

Georgia Tech keeps driving me crazy - they look awful one day, then look solid against tough competition another day, such as their win over Duke today.

Good news for DePaul fans: Jerry Wainwright has been axed as head coach - the only thing missing for DePaul now is to fire their clueless AD Jean Lenti Ponsetto.

Bad news for Wisconsin - junior forward Jon Leuer will have surgery Tuesday to repair a fractured wrist, with no timetable for a return date.

Big win for the Buckeyes tonight over #6 Purdue in West Lafayette.

Fuck off! Argh, what a terrible fucking night. Rob hits 8 three pointers in the first half our guys think the game is over at intermission. The Buckeyes don't roll over and die but claw their way back into the game. Thad puts the full court pressure on and suddenly we're lost. We have no fuckin' way to counter that? This game was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I knew we were in trouble when they got it under ten. To end the game on a 23-6 run is fuckin' inexcusable. Painter was simply out-coached tonight. And for the first time that I can remember, we were out-hustled and didn't play with any sort of urgency. OSU beat us on our home floor - no excuses. We just fuckin' lost. That's two games in a row that we've blown now in the conference. It's going to be hard to win the Big Ten if don't turn this shit around. And what the fuck is Barlow doing out there. Jesus goddamn Christ, leave him on the bench until he figures out what the fuck he's doing out there. This is why our freshman shouldn't be getting quality minutes - they screw shit up!

I'm a little frustrated. It sucks sitting in the stands and watching your favorite team get their ass handed to them in the second half. Hats off (begrudgingly) to the Bucks. They wanted this one. This is a whole different team when Turner is in the lineup.

Sad story that occured last night:

Southern Indiana's Jeron Lewis collapsed on the court four minutes in a game against Kentucky Wesleyan, and then was pronouced dead at the local hopsital later that night. He was 21.

My thoughts and condolences go to Jeron Lewis' family.

Rest in peace, Jeron.

OMG that's terrible! Do they know what happened? Probably some congenital heart defect that happens so often and easily goes undetected. Such a young man with all that promise....what a tragedy. My heart goes out to his family, friends and school.

A report from ESPN:

A Kentucky coroner says preliminary results from an autopsy show Southern Indiana center Jeron Lewis may have died from a heart condition.

Daviess County, Ky., coroner Bob Howe says the autopsy Friday found the 21-year-old player had an enlarged heart.

Lewis collapsed with 4 minutes to go in Thursday night's game at Kentucky Wesleyan and later died. A Southern Indiana spokesman says fans saw Lewis hit his head on the floor, but Howe says there were no signs of head trauma.

Howe says Lewis may have been unaware of his condition.

Nice road win Georgia Tech pulled against UNC - props to UNC for making a comeback late in the 2nd half after trailing by double-digits, granted the Tar Heels were without Tyler Zeller.

Stunning upset Creighton pulled at home against Wichita St.; Wichita State's defense at the last possession of the game was poorly executed - I mean seriously, with 10 seconds left in the game, why didn't they commit a foul? Great win by Creighton, though; they looked like the more hungry and more energized team today.
