Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!
Watching NIU-Kansas (starting to look at some red sweater vests, BI :uohs:), Kevin Harlan said that the last Mo Valley team to make the Sweet 16 was Larry Bird's Sycamores back in 1979. He missed the fact that Bruce Weber's SIU Salukis also did it in 2002 and Matt Painter's team repeated the feat in 2007! These network guys need to do their research before making such erroneous statements!!

I think they were referring to the last MVC Tourney Champs to reach the Sweet Sixteen, and Matt Painter was not the Salukis' coach in 2007; it was Chris Lowery.

Nevertheless, great win by the UNI Panthers - way to represent the Missouri Valley!

What is best in life? To see the Jayhawks lose; to see them driven before you; and to hear the lamentation of their fans.

Oh, and to see a number nine seed advance to the round of sixteen is nice, also.

Maybe folks shouldbe paying more attention to West Coast basketball, eh?

Cal 1-0
Washington 1-0
St. Mary's 2-0

West Coast basketball is the shit. Btw told yall about Saint Mary's. Been following them (and the WCC) for awhile. Hopefully they wont pull a Pepperdine and fade back to oblivion, and instead become the next Gonzaga. But what the hell hap'd to UNM, major disappointment. I'm liking Cal against Duke.

I don't care who wins as long as dook doesn't.

A lot of concern for Michigan State today; it looks like Kalin Lucas will play through his injury today, though Chris Allen looks more like a game-time decision. If MSU's guards aren't 100%, Greivis Vasquez could have a huge performance today.

Well my bracket is fracked beyond repair. Damn you KU

It's starting to look a lot like an Ohio State v Kentucky NC game...:dunno:

Hopefully Cal will take down Dook today...that would be a nice end to the weekend's action for me...

Wow, what a great finish by the Spartans - now we'll have to see how healthy they will be against UNI on Friday.

Yeah....buzzer beater! Great game!!

Looks like my Tigers are toast. Free throw woes again! Looks like Baylor and K-State (and, perhaps, A & M) will have to carry the Big 8 banner into the sweet 16. Just can't root for the Aggies....sorry.

Can't feel all that bad though. Nice season by Mizzou....love Mike Anderson's style. Dixon looks like a budding superstar. If only they could add a big man to handle the low post and sweep the glass. They'll be very competitive next season. Thanks guys! Great effort!

Kentucky probably got the worst matchup they could ever ask for in Cornell; Cornell will give the Cats plenty of matchup problems on both ends of the floor on Thursday.

Yeah....that one has trouble written all over it. I'm amazed that an Ivy League school handled Wisconsin so well.

By the way, I'm rooting for Purdue to take out A & M today but, if somehow Baylor and A & M can make it to the region finals in....OMG will Houston be rockin' that night!!! Probably won't happen but.....:dunno:

Andronicus....please don't tell me you are watching Cubs spring-training games when Purdue is showing tremendous poise and desire without Hummel....taking out A & M in OT to go to the sweet 16 in Houston! Wow....amazing!!

Jag, I'm in St. Pete Florida. A large contingency of people from West Lafayette always travel down here for Spring Break. There were at least 100 of us at the bar tonight watching the game and rooting for the Boilermakers. I tell myself that I don't care and that I won't watch them anymore, but I always do. I'm glad that I did.

As painful as this team is to watch, they play with a tremendous amount of heart. Chris Kramer has really stepped up since the tournament started. He doesn't have a future in the NBA, but he's one of my favorite Boilermakers of all-time. The kid just willed the team to victory tonight. They might be finished after their next game, but they've been a pleasure to watch this year.

I think that with Robbie Hummel this was a championship caliber team. Who knows what might have been...

Well unless Kalin Lucas wakes up and thinks that he is Mateen Cleaves, Sparty is done. If it is a torn Achilles tendon it's going to be too steep of a hill to climb. The way they finished off the season I'm surprised that they have made it this far.

Great finish to MSU-UMD. Especially since State won, without Allen and Lucas. They had Draymond Green running the point at one point. Xavier still alive, I still got them going to the Final Four. I think it's very likely Duke doesn't advance to the Final Four. Not cuz of Purdue, but because I like Baylor's and Saint Mary's chances against them. Tennessee and Ohio State, God I hate both of them. It would be so awesome if Michigan State beat whoever wins.

Msu has to stop scaring the shit out of me two close games already.
I Cheer so loud when that buzzer beater went in skyraider heard me at his house lol .
