This whole ECW thing is boring the crap out of me.

ECW's been boring me since '99. There's only so many times you can watch the same spots in different orders. Don't get get me wrong, I loved ECW from the first time I saw it in '94, but that ECW is dead. As far as I'm concerned it was diagnosed as terminal on February 24, 1997 and died a few years later.
But this WWECW stuff... not even worth following for me. It looks to be nothing more than what they did during the Raw/Smackdown split, with a few glorified Heat jobbers thrown in for nostalgia sake.

News On John Cena Heel Turn, Sandman's Drinking

Excluding his beer drinking antics on camera, Sandman is said to have heavily cut down on his drinking in general. He also seems to have lost a lot of weight during his time away, and is now in much better physical shape.

Despite being booked as a more 'edgy' character as of late, there are no plans for John Cena to turn heel any time soon.

Nikkala made me do it!
Finally watched my tape of Tuesday's night ECW show on Sci-Fi. I seriously hope they're not planning to do ECW live from the site of the Smackdown taping every week. It was like a freakin morgue! Just tape stuff from the house shows they're gonna run, geez. :fight:

Yeh i love the fact that DX are back together

missed last week's RAW, so aside from HBK and Triple H who else is back with
DX? Road Dogg? X- Pac? Chyna?, it does not seem the same without them.:dunno:

I used to think Tazz as the colorman on Smackdown was annoying but eventually I grew to like him. Maybe it'll be the same for JBL?

it's just Triple H and HBK so far and it's unknown if D-X will carry on after Vengeance.
as of other members, that is also unknown, but i seriously doubt that either Road Dogg or Billy gun will be involved after the video they made talking trash about Triple H and the WWE.

yeah Road Dogg and Billy Gun are doing well in TNA. It's probly going to be just Triple H and HBK for now. just have to see how the story goes.

ok I'm wondering where has everyone gone on this thread? I mean i could come here every day, sometimes twice, and would always find something new. has this thread been moved or are people just not posting?

Its harshly inaccessible now, over what I consider a personal spite against a member thats not even here anymore.

No reason this thread shouldn't be in Freeone Talks.

As for the actual topic, I feel iffy about DX, seems like Shawn Micheals isn't as funny as he used to be and that Triple H is too harsh to be funny anymore. I mean its nice to see em for a bit but the gimmick will probably wear off pretty quick.

yeah not much is happening but it's always nice to just talk about the wrestlers and new wrestlers. i just like to hear peoples opinions. it's entertains me lol.

yes it does seem like the DX gimmick isn't like it was but the fans love it, so I'm guessing as long as they love it (and that the people writting story lines can keep it going) then it'll be around for a while. I'm just wondering if it'll get to the point where they recruit someone new. there's not many groups in wrestling anymore. the only ones that come to mind is the gay spirit squad. i hate that gimmick.

Backstage News On D-X, The Future, Members, & More

According to reports, Shawn Michaels is not excited about the current D-Generation X reunion storyline on WWE TV at the moment. Despite this, those close to the situation have stated that Michaels has been totally professional about it.

Based on what is known, Michaels knows that this is something that logically had to be done in WWE to peak interest. However, Michaels has worried about not wanting to look like a hypocrite and has expressed a desire for his Christian lifestyle to be honored doing the DX angle by not being put in situations that are considered to be too outlandish.

While Michaels has stated that he is open to "mooning" skits, he was not open to strong sexual content or swearing on TV.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the reaction to the past few shows featuring Degenration-X has been a success, but the question remains, how long will it last? So far, they are redoing 1997, and people who lived through the generation of Four Horseman revivals know the first few weeks are good and then it fades fast.

Triple H turns 38 next month and Shawn Michaels turns 41 a few days later. By all logic, they are too old to play "Wayne's World" anymore. The hot program with the McMahon's is likely leading into a match with the McMahon's at SummerSlam, and then the group moving on from there.

Breaking News: RVD Suspended For 30 Days

WWE.com said:
Moments after screwing Rob Van Dam out of the ECW Championship, Paul Heyman gave the following statement to ECW.com:

“As of this moment, Rob Van Dam has been suspended for 30 days.”

I approached Heyman immediately as he came backstage following the match to ask him why he screwed Van Dam. Heyman only smiled and offered the above statement. I followed him to ask him why RVD was suspended and why he was screwed out of the ECW Championship…but he only walked faster. When I finally got to his office door, Heyman slammed the door in my face.

Unfortunately, what should have been RVD’s holiday weekend homecoming went from bad to worse to downright horrible. On Monday morning, everything seemed cool as RVD walked into the Wachovia Center as both the ECW and WWE Champion; Tuesday night, however, he left the building with no gold and no job for a month.

After losing the WWE Championship to Edge in a Triple Threat Match on RAW, RVD also lost his ECW Championship to Big Show live on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night. With the referee down, Van Dam seemingly had the match won after a Five-Star Frog Splash. Paul Heyman went to count the pinfall like he did at One Night Stand…but before he got to three, Heyman stopped and stared at RVD.

Van Dam looked like he had just lost his best friend, and as he and Heyman did some jaw jacking, Big Show recovered. He spun Rob around and nailed him with a chair, and after a vicious chokeslam on that same chair, ECW had a new champion. And now, with the suspension levied by Heyman, it looks like RVD won’t have a chance to right the wrong he has been handed.

ECW Refs Gone, No More ECW Rules Matches

The Big Show is the only WWE wrestler to have held the WWE, WCW, and ECW versions of a World championship.

Apparently all ECW Rules matches will have to be assigned to the particular match because as of last night, all matches are run under WWE rules unless stated otherwise.

The old ECW referee crew is apparently gone after last night as WWE is going to use their own refs. The refs will have an opportunity to come back when ECW returns to the Northeast again.
