he can't wrestle, yet the WWE are forcing him on the fans.

The Heart Throbs have been signed to Ward Family Promotions, which is a promotion that runs very infrequently in the western part of Virginia using mostly former WWE/WCW stars.

This weeks Velocity is advertised as "the special Hall of Fame edition of Velocity, featuring Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Hulk Hogan and more." Meanwhile, Heat is "a special Saturday Night's Main Event edition".

WWE.com has added behind-the-scenes footage of Vince McMahon in the latest issue of "Muscle & Fitness."

Last week, the trains on Boston's T's Green Line (the giant public transit system) were absolutely plastered with ads featuring the Wrestlemania 22 logo.

-------

The following matches are being advertised locally in KY for the 4/30 Backlash PPV:
WWE Championship Title Match John Cena vs. TRIPLE H

Intercontenental Title Match RVD vs. SHELTON BENJAMIN

Tag Team Title Match BIG SHOW & KANE vs. CARLITO & CHRIS MASTERS

Jannetty talks about his departure

Marty Jannetty posted the following message on a MySpace account following WWE.com’s confirmation that the company ended its relationship with the wrestler:

“Due to travel restrictions I have as part of a probation agreement, I was denied travel this week to Birmingham, Alabama for Monday Night Raw. As you could or should imagine, this is a disaster for WWE as they now have to go back and rewrite a major portion of their show in which I was to be included in, and with less than 3 days notice. The fact that this could happen again at any given time my [parole officer] decides against me traveling, is good reason for WWE to be concerned in another major disaster especially with Wrestlemania coming up. Could you imagine that 2 days before that show I’m told I can NOT go to Chicago. Please understand WWE’s position, and believe in them as they have not closed the window of opportunity yet. We are working hard right now on getting all travel restrictions lifted. It is a good possibility that it will happen. If you really care and are concerned, believe me when I say, prayer works and is greatly needed and appreciated right now. I’m getting tons of e-mails from friends and fans hating Vince and the WWE right now. They are not at fault!!! And, they are supporting me on this, so no more hating on them, ok?? I thank all of you for your support , cares and concerns. I love you all!!! I do have a strong gut feeling everything is going to be fine!!!”

That really sucks for Marty. He seems to still have some talent left in him. Unlike some of these other veteran guys. His presence and ring prowess could only help some of these rookies. Much in the same way Finlay is doing for Lashley on Smackdown.

The inside story on that controversial RAW promo

The Wrestling-Observer Newsletter reports that last week’s newsworthy, scripted exchange between Triple H and John Cena, in which HHH verbally attacked the latter for being a poor wrestler, was the beginning of a new Vince McMahon philosophy that will more openly address Cena’s limited in-ring performance.

McMahon has come to the realization that the crowd’s dislike for Cena can no longer be ignored; sources say that over the next few weeks, there will be more promos criticizing Cena as a bad in-ring wrestler.

Previously, WWE officials were committed to protecting Cena’s image due to the long-term plan of maintaining him as a credible face opponent for Triple H and because he plays the role of “off-air champion” very well.

WWE revealed “Sensational” Sherri Martel as the latest member of the Class Of 2006 Hall Of Fame inductees. She will join WWE’s Hall Of Fame during an April 1 ceremony.

The public confirmations for the show are as follows:

Bret Hart (to be inducted by Steve Austin)
Eddie Guerrero (to be inducted by Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero and Chris Benoit)
“Mean” Gene Okerlund (to be inducted by Hulk Hogan)
“Sensational” Sherri Martel

Stacy Keibler recently talked with magazine Us Weekly, saying "I have movie offers, endorsement deals and I'm reading TV pilots."

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Stacy Keibler does in fact want out of WWE, but doesn’t want to bad mouth wrestling on the way out. It’s also said that she doesn’t want a nasty break up from WWE, as they own a lot of intellectual property rights to her. Apparently she wants a meeting with McMahon to discuss these issues soon.

Stacy Keibler has gotten a few offers for acting gigs, including a meeting with the president of ABC. However, Sable and Chyna both had these kind of offers when they left and neither really did anything big after WWE.

Stacy Keibler’s contract with WWE expires in June of this year.

I have a feeling that they think Stacy has more potential than either of those two did. Both of them don't seem like the type of person that would go good with a television show outside of a guest appearance or two.

Chuck Palumbo has returned to the WWE and will be on this weeks HEAT

We’ve heard from reliable sources that it will be Shawn Michaels inducting “Sensational” Sherri Martel into the WWE Hall of Fame. Ted DiBiase was once considered but the idea was shot down. Although anything can change, expect WWE to announce this very soon.

Candice In Hope That WWE Exposure Will Lead To Acting Career?

In an interview featured in today's New York Daily News Candice Michelle tells of her wishes to pursue an acting career. "I want to do a very dramatic [acting] role," she continues "I'm very dramatic. I love the sex-kitten role, it comes to me naturally, but I want to show people I'm a true actress."

Essentially, she is hoping her WWE exposure will lead to a Hollywood career. If recent interest in Stacy Keibler is anything to go by, this will not sit well with WWE management.

In the interview Candice also highlighted the fact that since joining the company she hasn't undergone any formal wrestling training.

I've always thought that about her, she is only using the WWE to boost her career in showbiz

In the March 13-19 issue of TV Guide, NBC was listed in the "Jeers" in the Cheers & Jeers section for bringing back WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. It read quote: "Just when the network is starting to restore it's high-quality reputation with My Name is Earl and The Office, why ally with the lowbrow likes of Vince McMahon and Triple H? Plus, it won't really be a Main Event if there's no appearance by fabulous WWE-babe-turned-ballroom dancer Stacy Keibler."

Mick Foley was spotted on TV at the World Baseball Classic during the Dominican Republic vs. Venezuela game. As stated many times before, Foley is a huge baseball fan.

John "Romeo" Roselli of The Heart Throbs tag team is now clear of his WWE non-compete and is seeking independent bookings for both singles and tag team matches along with partner Tom "Antonio" Matera.

On WWE.com, Chavo Guerrero's biography on the RAW Superstars page says: "After spending the majority of his WWE career on SmackDown, Chavo was traded to RAW after the 2005 Draft Lottery. In his short time on RAW, Chavo has continued to leave his mark, ably carrying the torch for his famous family. Following the tragic passing of Eddie Guerrero in November 2004, Chavo has dedicated every match to his late uncle, and has adopted Eddie's signature Frog Splash as his own finishing maneuver." As we all know, Eddie passed away on November 13, 2005, and while WWE is only a year off it is still a pretty big error.

WWE has added a new feature to their website called 'Wrestling Hotbeds'. It is reported that they will be profiling different old time territories. At the moment, they are profiling Texas with an interview with Steve Austin, Austin speaks on the Texas territory and wrestlers. Short profiles on Texans like the Funks, the Duncums, the Guerreros, the Von Erichs, Wahoo, the Rhodes, HBK, JBL, Booker and some others are also featured. They also have a poll for the Greatest Texas wrestler of all time. Right now, Terry Funk is leading with 49% votes followed by Eddie Guerrero with 19% votes.

Canada's Walk Of Fame has sent out a press release about their June 3rd induction. They mentioned that WWE diva Trish Stratus will be the host.

Little SmackDown! spoiler below, highlight to read
(don't know if this will be on TV) Percy "Paul Bearer" Pringle was at last night's SmackDown taping in Mobile, AL. Bearer opened SmackDown and was introduced as a "true WWE Legend" to the crowd. This has been his first appearance at a WWE show since he was buried in concrete at The Great American Bash in 2004.

In Philadelphia WWE WrestleMania 22 is being advertised on buses. The adverts feature superstars such as Trish Stratus, Undertaker, HBK and Randy Orton. WWE are also advertising on Downtown (Center City), on trash can containers on Arch and Vine Streets.

i wish a bigger deal was made out of the WWE here in the UK

I can't say I feel too sorry for the WWE if one of the divas use it as a springboard to start a career somewhere else. A career there only last so long anyhow. After all it isn't like the WWE hesitates a second if letting somebody go suits their interest. Yet somebody else is supposed to have fanatical loyalty to the corporation, seems like a double standard to me.

Steven Richards is scheduled to make his return to the WWE after WrestleMania 22 on the SmackDown brand.

Angel Williams, the developmental diva who as previously reported was going to replace Jillian Hall as JBL’s assistant, has undergone successful surgery on her knee. There is no return date known yet.
