What is the latest good film you watched ?

For the EMPEROR!!
Just watched "Breakheart Pass". ..
It's not the most action-packed film of Charlie Bronson, but it's a good one :2 cents:

I'm trying to watch all the films in the Criterion Collection. The last one I watched was "House of the Devil" I really liked it, and it did scare me a little. I love scary movies!

Zoey, you are a girl after my own heart! I LOVE scary horror movies ... good or bad! Since I work nights and get home in the early a.m. hours, I love putting on a scary movie -- I usually pick through Comcast's OnDemand free movies collection and watch something. I've never seen House of the Devil before, but if you recommend it I'll check it out!

I recently saw The Nun, Rec2, Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes, and Quaratine 2. Rec2 was really, really good (even though it was subtitled :D) an Anneliese scared the crap out of me! :)

Do you like the 'shaky cam' style of horror film, like Blair Witch or Paranormal Activity?

Just saw it today, and trust me people......it's #1 in the U.S. for a reason!

Regardless of how good it is,it's #1 because there hasn't been shit worth seeing in about three weeks now.If you notice, the box office totals for the that time have been abysmal, and The Help's weekend earnings aren't really anything to brag about.

In it's first weekend,it made 26 mil,and it was still in second place behind Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, which was in it's second week taking in 27.8 mil for the weekend, which was preceded with a 54.8 mil dollar opening weekend.

Now while Apes petered out each weekend,it still earned over 81 million dollars in it's first two weekends while The Help hasn't even earned that in it's total four weekends.

Now don't get me wrong,I'm not saying that The Help isn't a good movie, mainly because I haven't seen it,but don't come here touting a movies box office superiority without some solid facts.

"Boogeyman 3." Not too bad at all. Erin Cahill: SUPER hot. :yummie: Although I saw the ending coming a mile away, this movie was certainly better than the junker I was watching before this one.

Avoid "The Cottage." Pee-yeeewsah :eeew

Dammit, after all of that,I meant to mention that I just finished watching X-Men:First Class.Fucking awesome flick even if a couple of the characters are totally worthless.

January Jones,as hot as she is,was fucking terrible, and so was Zoe Kravitz.

Evil Ed, one of the funniest horror movies I've ever seen, and probably Sweden's #1 export.

Ummmmmm dude, you know what they say about people who live in glass houses. I had my facts together, but this thread was only about the latest good film you watched....so I didn't see it being the place to throw out a bunch of numbers. However, since you decided to do so.....I'll correct you by pointing out that through yesterday, the domestic box office for "The Help" is $131,074,000 (ummmmm, by my math, that is WELL over $81 million), and the production budget for the movie was only $25,000,000.....soooooo, that's pretty fucking impressive if you ask me (a profit of over $106,000,000 and counting). How much did "Apes" cost to make again? I'll tell you....$95 Million. And it's total domestic box office through yesterday was $165,061,000 (it has been out about a week longer than "The Help"). The numbers are fairly close given that "The Help" has been out a week less, and it's still going fairly strong. (and I will point out that "Apes" has had a wider release).

Also:

As of Thursday, The Help has topped the box office for 25 days in a row. That marked the longest uninterrupted streak since The Sixth Sense spent 35 days in first place in late summer 1999.

Anyway, you called for facts, and then provided some incorrect information. There are some facts on the subject...and based on them, I'll stand by my initial post 100%!

Note: In the interest of being totally honest, I would point out that since "The Help" has only really been released domestically, those were the numbers I looked at. "Apes" has made over $350 million worldwide. But, comparing the two films is like comparing apples and oranges. If you like a good story, "The Help" is your kind of film. If you like a bunch of computer generated special effects, and a fanciful story....then "Apes" is the way to go. :2 cents:

In Bruges - Colin Farrell

A lot better than I thought it would have been. It was pretty damn funny at times and the two main leads Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell are great together so they are. How often do we get to see someone karate chop a midget in the neck and shout "shortarse" and then run away afterwards as the wee guy rolls around on the floor holding his neck in pain LMFAO!. We see it in "In Bruges" thanks to Colin Farrell's mad antics and his madness doesn't stop there.

In Bruges 9/10
