Anyway, you called for facts, and then provided some incorrect information. There are some facts on the subject...and based on them, I'll stand by my initial post 100%!
After re-reading the initial post, I realized that only weekend figures were looked out. In the initial 5 weekends, "Apes" made about $112 million, and "The Help" made about $94 (on far less screens even today). But, I would also point out the fact that "The Help" has been #1 at the box office 4 weekends in a row.....just sayin'! But, comparing a big budget blockbuster to a film like "The Help" is like comparing apples and oranges....like I already said.

Anyway, I stand corrected in my initial comparison (due to misreading what was originally posted....weekend box office figures, vs. total box office)......but I totally stand by my recomendation of "The Help" 110%! :hatsoff:

Like I said before,I'm not disputing whether or not it's a good film, just that it didn't have any competition so that's one of the factors in it's popularity. Now with Contagion and Warrior out, there's no doubt that The Help will fall down in the weekend earnings, but that shouldn't say anything about the quality of the film.Hell, look at Transformers 3,piece of shit movie that made of metric fuck ton of money.

Furthermore,I only compared it with Apes because that was the last movie to gross over 30 million dollars in a weekend. Not saying that it's better, but just comparing weekend earnings.

Sorry if my initial post came off as an attack.I just get a little irked about this type of shit, nothing personal.:spin:

"Unstoppable." There were a few moments where I REALLY tried hard to suspend my disbelief, but overall it was a decent action movie. Denzel Washington is always awesome, and Rosario Dawson is a goddess (she is also mentioned in the "Who made you cum today" thread ;)).
