For the EMPEROR!!
You didn't like Matthew Lillard?
Yeah, he wasn't bad in it .. but I prefer Shannon. :D

With "Stars Wars" coming out on Bluray (all 6 together), that's gonna be another set I'd like to take on during a weekend. I hear Lucas has tweaked the movies a bit ... but what else is new? :dunno: :D

I heard about that, they changed some dialogue and made Yoda into a CGI version apparently. Although I'm still not sure if they left the puppet version in the first 3 (released).

Watched Matrix Reloaded on Blu-Ray yesterday. My sister bought me the trilogy recently.

You still managed to do it in one weekend! While I like Return of the King the best of the three (if I was forced to pick only one), Fellowship of the Ring makes me feel the most nostalgic about the books. They capture the feel and look of the Shire, Bree, Moria, Lothlorien, Isengard, etc., perfectly just the way Tolkien described them.

Ive always been a huge fan of the LOTR movies and I had never read the books. Ive just recently read The Hobbit and The Fellowship and I must say as epic as the movies are they still hardly do the books justice. That being said, those are probably the three best movies ever.

The House In Nightmare Park - Frankie Howerd.

This is one seriously hard as fucking FUCK movie to get a hold of on DVD. The bastards wont bring it out for what ever reason. I had to "obtain" my version on AVI by other means. It's a taped from TV version I have. But it's better than not having it at all. I do wish the fuckers would bring it out on DVD or Blu Ray. Hell I would break my rule of not buying Blu Ray for this movie so I would.

It's about Frankie Howerd being invited to a countryside estate for the weekend to give a performance of one of his stage plays to entertain the people at the mansion or so he thinks. What he is really invited there for is so they can claim the item he has in his possession (which he's unaware that he has) that will lead them to the family treasure (a million pounds in diamonds which was a lot back then in the early 1900s). So it ends up like a murder mystery type situation while searching for the diamonds and Frankie boy wriggling out of every attempt at them trying to kill him while searching for the diamonds. As he is the true heir to the fortune and not the rest of the family. It has a nice Hammer Horror vibe to the movie at times due to the scenery and sets used. And also throwing in Frankie Howerd's style of comedy to boot.

And there is a lovely looking lady in the cast as well. She plays the daughter of one of the family members trying to kill Frankie. So I guess that would make her his Niece going by how the story is. I wouldn't mind giving her one. She was a honey so she was. Fuck me just think she'll be in her 70s or something now. The movie was made in the 70s.

9/10

Dead & Buried (1981)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_&_Buried

Watched it whilst browsing through channels and although the plot was fairly weak it was still quite horrifying and gory considering its age, some sick murder scenes in there

Not seen it my friend and it's for the simple reason that the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) edited the movie by just over 4 minutes of cuts. I don't care if the remainder is still disturbing, a lot can happen in those 4 minutes. And I do know all about the parts that were cut out of the movie. It's no wonder this movie is sitting at around £7 on DVD on Amazon.co.uk just now. No one wants to buy a movie that is cut by 4 minutes or no one wants to buy a movie with that sort of content. It's one of those reasons for such a low price for the movie, it's nothing to blame for it.
I thought the same thing but I think the cut scenes are still in there in a way, a lot of the film involves a guy reviewing scenes on a portable hd recorder so the cut scene will still have characters talking about what they are seeing as well as their reactions but not showing the viewer what they can see. I'm sure the baby raping scene was one they took out and there was a clip showing that pornstar standing dangerously close to a horse (I'm sure the uncut scene took it futher)!
