Backstage Report: TNA Talent Frustrated

Some TNA talents are feeling disgruntled right now. With all the new names coming in and the new direction of the promotion, some of the tenured wrestlers are concerned that their efforts and history with the company will be overlooked.

Sources right now are saying that nobody is being let go and the company is just in the process of setting up their new direction.

More "new" names. TNA was going in the right direction after the end of the Main Event Mafia.

"TNA at this point is sick for ratings, they admitted it all was about money & ratings during the Beautiful People's poker game, I think I can recall Taz saying "Well this is a new way to get ratings". Wow that clears it up, anyways".

"Look, TNA gets Orlando Jordan, come on, the guy was fired from the WWE for checking out other guys".

Agreed. At least spend the money to censor them properly if you're going to bother at all. Not that I agree with either, but... Get the techs in the truck to edit sound, whatever, like WWE does, splicing in crowd roars, favorable signs, editing out some of the bad chants (ever noticed fans mouthing "boooring" while there's no sound?) etc. Don't anger the people paying your wages by buying tickets.

What is happening to TNA now is the equivalent of jumping out of an airplane while holding a parachute. While there is a chance they'll put the parachute on and save themselves, it's much more likely that it'll fly out of their hands and they'll smash into the ground with a thud.

TNA Knockouts Draw Big On TNA iMPACT!


Last week's episode of TNA iMPACT! scored a 1.26 cable rating with 1.8 million viewers. The show also drew 1.00 in Males 18-34 and 1.12 in Males 35-49.

While thenumbers are higher than what the show has been doing as of late, it was also the first show in months that didn't run either on a holiday or against major football competition. Before football, the company averaged a 1.22 in July and a 1.13 in August.

In the segment-by-segment numbers, Kurt Angle's promo with AJ Styles and the arrival of "The Band" gained 159,000 viewers. A Knockouts tag match pitting "The Beautiful People" against Awesome Kong and Hamada with the return of Angelina Love gained 100,000 viewers and did a 1.34 quarter, making it the highest rated segment on the show. Bobby Lashley attacking Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed, Team 3D in a seven second match and subsequent promo lost 86,000 viewers. Sean Morley's confrontation with Daniels and Beer Money vs. Matt Morgan and Hernandez, with the Hal and Nash beat down, lost 14,000 viewers. Samoa Joe vs. Desmond Wolfe lost 71,000 viewers. The backstage confrontation between Jeff Jarrett and Hulk Hogan gained 143,000 viewers and did a 1.32 rating, achieving the second best number for the evening. Even with Ric Flair on commentary, the Styles vs. Tomko main event lost 186,000 viewers doing a 1.19 final quarter.

Report: Awesome Kong Requests TNA Release

According to a source, Awesome Kong gave notice to TNA on Tuesday night at the TV tapings. Keep in mind that wrestlers quitting TNA happens all the time and most of the time they get talked into staying.

I'm sure it doesn't help matters with Hogan bashing her and Bubba calling her a b**ch on his radio show today.

It should be noted that Kong is said to be one of the nicest people to be around backstage. People within that TNA legitimately can't stand Bubba as of late.

This isn't her first outburst where she has attacked someone.

Kong needs to lose the temper or leave.

Hogan: Kill All House Shows, Bubba Calls Kong A B**ch


Hulk Hogan was on Bubba The Love Sponge's radio show this morning. Here is what I heard.

Hogan wants to kill all house shows in TNA until the TV comes together and then in no time they will become a force that people will pay attention to. Seriously.

Hogan has no plans to bring in just his friends. Really Hulk?!? He said he only met Ken Anderson on the Australian tour and knew that the guy had what it took.

Bubba then talked about the incident with Awesome Kong earlier this week, calling her a bitch and saying he was mad at what she did to him. Hogan played it off as it being menstrual-related.

Bubba said he was pushing for a bigger role in TNA but now hates the wrestling business. Hogan said, "Wow!"

Hogan talked about how less is more and spoke about a segment with Scott Hall and Sean Waltman that was taped this week. Hogan put over Ric Flair as being really on his game once he got rolling with AJ Styles.

They talked for like 15 minutes and basically Hogan's focus was to emphasize how he is going to show everyone how the business works since TNA has done nothing since its inception.

Hogan has to go. I'm tired of hearing things like this.

Hogan can't wrestle and knows nothing about wrestling.

He would be better off at Barnum and Bailey Circus lifting fake weights.

Breaking EXCLUSIVE: TNA Knockout Released

TNAWrestlingNews.com has exclusively learned that TNA Knockout Alissa Flash is leaving TNA Wrestling.

According to our source, word is that Alissa (Melissa Anderson) requested her release from the company.

There are rumors of others besides Kong and Anderson requesting their releases but nothing is confirmed.

Backstage Updates: 2 TNA Knockouts Gone

-- While details have yet to be disclosed, Alissa Flash is gone from TNA Wrestling as we EXCLUSIVELY broke here on the website last night. Flash, whose real name is Melissa Anderson, had been with the company since January 2008 when she began working under a hood as Raisha Saeed, Awesome Kong's mouthpiece. The Saeed character was written out last fall as Anderson began regularly appearing as Flash, where she had matches with the likes Sarita and Hamada. She hadn't appeared on television since December and was not used at this week's slate of television tapings. Word of Anderson's departure from the company first began circulating yesterday after our report that was posted here. She later confirmed our report via her Twitter account (http://twitter.com/AlissaFlashTNA). Her bio has since been removed from the TNA website.

-- As reported earlier, Awesome Kong has given notice to TNA with the multi-time champion herself confirming said reports during a live video stream yesterday afternoon. It should be noted that her decision to hand in her notice may not necessarily be as a result of her heated encounter with Bubba the Love Sponge earlier this week, but rather, the company's upcoming tour of Europe. "I told TNA that I would think about it," Kong said during a live video stream of the company's request for her to go on the European tour. "All they had to do is wait 10 minutes." JESUS ....i didnt even watch but it sounds horrible!
maybe get on the same level or close to the same level of the WWE before you try to make fun of them.
its been said before by me and others here but this is just a WCW show all over again.they used to give away the results of taped WWE monday night RAW's and the audience didnt care then, so why would they care now if you try to make fun of them?
