Report: Hulk Hogan Stressed Out At TNA iMPACT!

Hulk Hogan was said to be very stressed backstage at iMPACT on Monday, and feels the company has organizational issues. TNA was still filming pre-tapes late in the day, and it was said to be a very chaotic atmosphere for Hulk compared to the treatment he was used to in WCW and WWE.

Hogan held a meeting with the TNA roster prior to the show, which was described as a basic pep talk meeting. Hulk told the wrestlers that he’s looking forward to getting to know them all. He told them his door is always open, and gave the impression that he and Bischoff are running the show, although Vince Russo is still handling his usual backstage duties.

Some backstage sources say Russo came across as withdrawn, and after the show was telling people he had no idea what the storyline direction will be going forward.

He means special treatment...;)

Sounds like he will be gone soon enough.

Hulk Hogan Says Terrordome Needs To Go

Hulk Hogan called into the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show this morning I did not catch the last part of the interview, but here is what I did hear:

He and Bubba talked about the Terrordome match and Hulk said that when he and Bubba were in the production meeting the day before, about 10 people said there was a decent door to the cage. He then got to the soundstage and found out it had no real door and that none of the wrestlers could climb out of the top, hence the DQ finish. There were plans for a big bump off the cage but it just was not possible. He and Bubba agreed that the Terrordome needs to be scraped for good.

Too much change. Hogan needs to go.

About Jim Cornette: Bubba played Hulk some of the Who's Slamming Who podcast and Hulk said that he did not know Jim was so bitter. He said Jim has a good mind for the business and that he had plans for Jim to do something in TNA, but he does not need that negative attitude in there right now. Bubba made the comment that after the rating they got on Monday, Hulk needs to say what needs to be said and not be afraid to step on some toes.

About Mondays nights: Hulk says they have kinda dropped the ball by taping a Thursday show the day after going live and that right after he hangs up with Bubba he is gonna call Dixie Carter, Eric Bischoff and the people at Spike and tell them that they need to be on Mondays live from now on. He says he knows that it will cost a ton of money but you gotta spend money to make money. Hulk says that he will get Vince's audience a bit at a time just like he did in WCW.

Hulk Says he talked to Bob Carter and Bob made the comment that Hulk knew what he was doing and that they needed a bigger building.

Bubba said that they are working on a deal to make nice with the "Bubba Army" based on what happened on Monday with the tickets and it sounded like they wanna rent a big building and run a free taping with only the Bubba Army being let in.

That is pretty much when I stopped listening as they were talking divorce drama after that and I have no interest in that.

Booker T On WWE & TNA Return?, Matt Morgan Controversy

Report: Former TNA Star Booker T Returning To WWE?

There is talk that Booker T could return to World Wrestling Entertainment as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble.

The multi-time champion has had discussions with WWE officials in recent weeks regarding a possible return to the company. Talks have been ongoing for some time now.

Booker T: 'I'm Taking A Little Time Off', Hogan Note

-- Former WWE and TNA star Booker T appeared on the Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network recently and addressed rumors swirling online of him making his return to WWE at the Royal Rumble. Here is what he said: "I had no plans of being on either show. Right now, I'm taking a little time off and seeing exactly which way I want to go. Wrestling has been very good to me on both the WWE side and the TNA side, so right now, I'm just taking some time off.

-- There were a few edits in Fox 8's version of the WWE RAW replay in Australia. Michael Cole's blunder of the infamous Montreal Screwjob was edited out, for example. Instead, they edited it to say "November, 1997," editing Cole's confusion of the day it was on. For those wondering, it actually occurred on November 9, 1997, not November 7, 1997 as Cole stated. Additionally, Chris Jericho's mocking of TNA star Hulk Hogan was completely edited off the broadcast.

Booker needs to come back to TNA and get pinned by Matt Morgan than reform Harlem Heat. ;)

Alright so I'm watching the replay of the 3 Hour Impact and I can't watch anymore. This Impact is pure horseshit. Even the Knockouts let me down, the Knockouts Tag Team Championship match was ok but that match had so many blown spots it's not even funny. Hulk Hogan needs to go, Bubba the Love Splooge needs to never come back, and the Nasty Boyz. Really! I'll watch next week just to see Angelina Love but I've lost faith in TNA.

i saw the end of WCW impact last night and the NWO guys beating up foley was just so bad. it looks like foley will be the "new" sting in this battle vs NWO black & white?

EXCLUSIVE: Update on RVD and His Current WWE/TNA Status
by Nick Paglino
Jan 08, 2010

Several sites are reportng that Rob Van Dam could possibly make an appearance at this year's Royal Rumble.

According to a source I spoke with recently, that idea is definitely a possibility, however nothing has been confirmed yet. As far as RVD making a debut wtih TNA, that seems unlikely at this time, as the source I spoke with told me that he is content just sitting back and watching how the entire situation with WWE vs TNA plays out.

Additionally, I was told that it would take a big money offer from TNA to get Rob to work for the company, as he still considers TNA to be minor league compared to WWE.

Based on what I was told, it would seem more likely to me that RVD would make a one-time appearance at The Royal Rumble, as he did last year, as opposed to returning to WWE full-time, however that is just speculation.

On the official Twitter of Beth Britt, Jeff Hardy's real-life girlfriend, she posted a tweet saying "I have no idea where these reports are coming from saying Jeff 'had a verbal agreement to return to WWE by a certain date.' That's 100% false".

What happened to him,he was my favorite wrestler in ECW (the real ECW)
and he sorta never got a full time shot in the WWE. the guy was probably the best guy athletically and he was damn good on the mic. i think he is alot older now so i dont know how he has maintained himself

like i previously said, there have probably been SO many broken verbal agreements it would make our heads spin

until i am proven differently or proven wrong i will now call TNA -WCW cause that is the road that they are on now and its not a good move.
and that is based on one of the best books i have ever read.
GUYS who love wrestling on this thread should read this book.
guys who have followed wrestling before the MONDAY NIGHT WARS should definitely read this book. it took me a little over 3 days to read. i couldnt put it down cause i remembered everything that happened like it was yesterday

People who liked this week's TNA broadcast probably wouldn't enjoy it much, but people who thought it was crap for the most part would get a lot of fun out of listening to Jim Cornette's ranting podcast at:

http://whosslammingwho.podomatic.com/

Cornette is just howling at how horrible TNA was - and he didn't think much of RAW either.

It's good stuff. The unfortunate thing is that I don't remember TNA being all that awesome when Cornette was involved in the company either, so maybe he is just bitter, as Hogan says.

But that TNA broadcast really was horribly bad - and a tremendous missed opportunity - if they had just had the TNA core wrestlers have good matches and had Hogan come out and have a clearly defined heel/babyface confrontation with SOMEBODY and done away with all the extra run-ins and extra "Look Who Else Is In TNA" BS, it would have been SO much better!

If they were going to bring in Jeff Hardy, build up to it!

If they were going to bring in Rick Flair, wait till they had a storyline for him to be part of!

If they were going to bring in Waltman and Hall, it should have only been a 5-minute segment where they come strutting in and the entire TNA roster kick the fucking shit out of them and throw them in a fucking dumpster - and then set the dumpster on fire!

Now that would be good tv

Lacey Von Erich Causes Webshow To Be Retaped.

Jeremy Borash said yesterday morning during an appearance on the Pain Clinic radio show that TNA shot an episode of Spin Cycle two weeks ago with Lacey Von Erich and Kevin Nash but it ended up being much too raunchy to air.

Borash said they taped it again and he had Lacey clean up her potty mouth.

Ric Flair Explains Why He Joined TNA Wrestling.

Ric Flair says his main reason for joining TNA and making his debut this past Monday night on iMPACT! was because unlike WWE, he felt wanted by the organization.

In an interview with Mike Mooneyham of the Charleston Post and Courier, he said he didn't want to sit at home watching two wrestling shows on Monday nights when he feels he can still contribute to the industry.

"I think I certainly can add something to the show," Flair said. "And the nice thing is ... they want me.”

Article

Flair says he waited for WWE to call him back after he worked a brief angle with Randy Orton this past June, but they never called him back to do a follow-up.

Flair says he was feeling great following his recent wrestling tour of Australia, both mentally and physically, and felt he shouldn't have to sit on the sidelines when he can strongly contribute to TNA.

Mooneyham noted: "Flair says he loves WWE and always will, but that he needed this opportunity for himself. ... It’s a matter of pride, of belonging, of feeling that old familiar adrenaline rush. Flair says he is excited and energized by the positive vibes coming reverberating throughout the company (TNA)."

Um... what?

That post reminds of something I used to think. I always used to think that in 2006 or something John Cena went to TNA, wrestled in one pay per view match, before ditching back to WWE. I have no idea where that idea came from, but for the longest time I could distinctly remember that it happened. Hell, I could even remember him making his entrance.

Man, I must have been high.

TNA iMPACT! Cuts, Hulk Hogan As TNA World Champion?

The UK airing of iMPACT! was edited down to 2 hours, and one of the things cut was Hogan's opening sequence. This meant he said nothing about being in the back all day, which changed the dynamic of his speech.

Fanhouse.com are echoing the sentiments of many TNA detractors, with a writer predicting that Hogan will be TNA champion soon and being less than complimentary about the comeback in general.
