This way you got Hamas having the majority in the Palestinian Legislative Council so they can reject every peace negociations with Israel. On the other side, Israeli people fear palestinian terrorism so they vote for politician who are known to be strong and would only accept peace negociations on very under very specific conditions. Because of that, there is an escalation in violence and agression.
