Yes but it all goes in cycles. There was a time when teams like Army and Michigan State were national power houses. OK that was half a century ago but nonetheless there was a time. Even LSU back in the day was was top tier team.

This his hard for me to admit as a Spartan fan but it does seem like a lot of high picks out Michigan State stink up the joint on sundays. I remember two other can't miss prospects from the Rose Bowl team that sucked as pros. Lorenzo White was supposed to be a 1,200 yrd. RB on sundays and Percy Snow was going to be the next great linebacker. Oh well we can always fall back on the greatness of Mortan Anderson.:1orglaugh

With Michigan it seems every athlete, not just in football, that comes out of there is either overrated or doesn't live up to expectations. The only person that quickly comes to mind that actually exceeded expectations is Tom Brady.

I remember reading a story about Ryan Leaf being taken out at the beginning of his rookie season by some teammates to a restaurant to eat where they played a practical joke on him. I think it ended up with them trying to make him pay for all of it. When he whined and refused some of them sort of got pissed. I think Junior Seau ended up drilling him in their next practice even with the red shirt on. :1orglaugh
OK before Spartan nation gets too carried away remember three things. They have to play Wisconsin next, they beat a very bad Notre Dame team and it in South Bend where they haven't lost since Perles was the coach. Oh wait if you are a Spartan fan you're waiting for the collapse just like me.
On to other subjects. What is up with the 'Huskers only beating BALL STATE by a point? Did USC jack them up that bad. And Louisville was supposed to be pretty good and they got it handed to them two weeks in a row.
