No I play bass

What made ya wanna play the bass becca,

Some women can play geetar,

Jennifer Batten is a sick geetar player she played with jeff beck on the album Who Else!

Steve Stevens, billy idols guitarist is alright too

I have only lurked on here so far but the fact that so many people think hendrix is the best simply BLOWS my mind. Just about every single guy on that list could smoke the hell out of him any day. In fact, a lot of people not on that list could smoke the hell out of hendrix. His greatest hits album is good but if you listen to his albums then each of them have maybe one decent song and the rest of it sounds like someone gave a kid with down syndrum a guitar and let him play with it for 10 minutes.

that´s your oppinion...you should be more tolerant with other people´s opinion

There's not a song on there I don't like. The drums hit so nicely on that album, and if you think the engineering is better on Master of Puppets or any of their other records, well...sorry. For me that is always going to be the metal album of my life. Probably in my top five overall favorites, and I listen to everything, I probably have a couple thousand albums.

I completely aggree with you on that one , And justice is the best Metallica album and the album with the best sound too ( the drum sounds incredible )
Other Metallica albums before that one where great but had a terrible drum sound .

Yeah, the drums sound great on it but the bass is all whoompy and muddy, you need a REALLY good stereo to get that bass sounding good. As far as songs go though, that album really has none that would be considered Metallica's classics like:

Damage, Inc
Creeping Death
Four Horsemen
Whiplash
Sanitarium
Seek and Destroy

Blackened, that one other song, and Dyer's Eve are good but that's about it.

Just my:2 cents:

Jagger69

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Listen to the live version of Daydream (Spellbound) and tell me who is better than Robin Trower? So fitting that he was left off the list here as he is the most underrated guitarist of all time in my opinion.

Had to revive this thread after a very musical weekend....:banger:

The answer to the initial question would depend on whether you mean most popular guitarist or most skillful guitarist.

If you mean most popular, then probably Jimi Hendrix.

Most skillful would be John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, etc.

As a guitar player myself, I say that John Petrucci from Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment is my favorite.

Porl Thompson
Robert Fripp
Michael David McCready
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Derek Trucks
Jimi Hendrix
Buddy Guy
Dickey Betts
Duane Allman
Jimmy Page
Joe Perry
Santana

that guy from Dream Theater, & the guy from Eagles of Death Metal & Kyuss goes off too - IMHO

Thank god rock has returned in a big way & rap / hip hop has gone back out & underground into mixtapes
