Yes, I read up on the statue, it was salvaged from a scrap yard by a private citizen who put his house in mortgage to finance the thing. Markedly different from the county and city sponsored Confederate monuments of which you speak, but I digress, other than being home to Chris DeGarmo, I've got no love for Seattle.

Somehow I feel like if this statue were to be removed, there wouldn't be a huge crowd of armed people going to defend it, or late-night rallies with torches. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it.

Most of what they do know is from lies and propaganda from the Zio US media and from the public school system.
Maybe the south was justified to secede. Maybe the Federal GOV and the bankers caused the war, wouldn't be the 1st time.
Maybe a war in which hundreds of thousands of men and boys were killed and a million more maimed was unecessary.
Either way attempting to rewrite or dismiss history is wrong.
But just like whats happening in Europe the Globalists behind the treachery know that a society with no cultural identification, no pride of where they came from and who they are (or even actual guilt) are much easier to control and much less likely to resist.

I suppose I do come across as doing that sometimes.
Its just that as I got older I came to realize everything I was taught or taught myself wasn't exactly the way it was.
Not exactly the full truth and in many cases all lies.
Add to that the level of bullshit that has been jamming us the last 15 or 20 years and forgetaboutit.
The Civil War is a great example of not quite getting the real story.
And Slavery in the US in general is very misunderstood and full of disinfo.
