They are not "heroes"....they are paid PUBLIC SERVANTS who should be looked at as people doing their jobs (ie:what they are getting PAID for;what THEY signed up for.....)

Are they HEROES when they stick their smelly boots in your car window; begging for money?

You acted like it was some great big achievement to invade Iraq and get Saddam. Frankly we made it much harder than it needed to be. Wanna know how great a general Saddam was? Why don't you ask a real general?


Fact is that if we hadn't used the M1 Abrams, M2 Bradley, Jam-O-Matic M16 machine pistol and the Apache, things in Iraq would've been much easier. To say nothing of the Stryker.
During the Balkan conflict, a 3rd world country divided in two, at war with itself, took out an F117. That's right. One missile battery commander using 60s era Soviet missiles that he'd modified himself managed to splat a stealth. But Saddam? No way would he allow his generals the independance to get the job done, which is why Russian tanks were parked, completely defeating the point of the tank.
That's just the initial military approach.

What about the aftermath?
We could've symbolically knocked down Abu Ghraid. Instead we kept on using it; "meet the new boss, same as the old boss".
To say nothing of the illegal killings and rapes. If we'd invaded and then used the armed forces to quickly train Iraq's forces to look after themselves, rather than guard haliburton tankers until haliburton decided it couldn't get anyone to them and then order the soldiers to set fire to the tanker and run away.

Because Iraq was not a necessary war and instead of finishing the job in Afghanistan, Bush rolled us into Iraq at the first opportunity and spent the rest of his term dealing with the blowback. That's how Bush relates to this topic.

i dunno if i wanna believe that photo as of yet. conflicting reports of exactly where he was shot make it confusing when looking at the picture. some say he got a shot to the chest AND head, while others say he got shot twice in the head (once in the left eye).

so until they bring it to light in the coming days/weeks i will wait patiently.

the war on terror is not over, but this is a victory for the moral of our military personnel which will stretch for a long while in their minds . im happy, and i cant say much more than that
