Lightning lose in OT on a goal that may or may not have actually crossed the line. Gagne was once again invisible as was Lecavalier. very poor quality game by the Lightning and Islanders tonight

Usually when a play looks too close to call they go with no goal. I don't get how they could say for sure that the puck crossed the line because every camera angle was inconclusive. Anyway I agree that it was a boring game. too bad for Ellis he's having a tough time winning lately.

congrats to Daniel Alfredsson for joining the 1,000 point club with his hat trick tonight

and congrats to Steven Stamkos on his 2nd career hat trick.

TB wins over Atlanta 5-2

goin on tonight between Bruins/Rangers...

Yes but they still need to capitalize on the power play until Savard returns.

Nashville is playing very well and their goalie Anders Lindback is a ******* (6'6" 205lbs). wouldn't surprise me if we lose this one

comeback too little too late for Tampa. 4-3 Nashville.

Ellis has not been what we've wanted him to be yet. that's a problem

First Toronto, then Tampa, and now Nashville is the top team in the league. Crazy.

Boucher should go with Mike Smith for a while and see what happens. Even though he was not good in every win , Smith is 4-0 and he should get more starts. Ellis can't seem to win and he is 1-2-1 so I think the message is clear.

The Bruins recently signed a bigtime Enforcer...Brian McGrattan...is this because we don't want Lucic to drop the gloves much this season?
Probably.
Plus Thornton will need a little help to fight Shelley,Godard,Boogaard,Gillies and Orr...
Thornton can also play a little hockey so they probably want him to stay out of the box too.

I have yet to see McGrattan hit the ice yet, hopefully he will be on the ice Thursday when they play the Leafs so he can drop the gloves with Mike Komiserik.

Tampa allowed 2 short handed goals on one power play. i love our offense but going into the season i was still worried about defense and goal tending. still am.

Tampa needs a number one goalie. we have ever since Khabibulin left 6 years ago. Mike Smith was pulled after 12 minutes in this one after giving up 3 goals (2 short handed) on 7 shots. Ellis hasn't been stellar this year either. we need to find that one guy (a la Fleury, Brodeur, Lundqvist) that we can count on year in year out. i'm sick of shitty or inconsistent goaltending holding us back
