Lightning 5, Stars 4

really unacceptable play by goalie Mike Smith tonight. he was not good. luckily our offense was strong enough to win this because of going 4/5 on the power play.

we had 44 SOG and they had 19

still no points from Gagne. troubling...

Well, it looks like it'll be a Dallas/Toronto final this year...

I am hereby calling for the entire Minnesota Wild team to take a drug test. SIX goals so far against Vancouver. Seriously, what the fuck?

Is this the same Bruins team that I watched two years ago?

in yesterday's Minnesota/Vancouver game, an extremely agitated Rick Rypien reached into the stands and grabbed a fan by the collar as he was being escorted to the locker room. the (Minnesota) fan claims he was just clapping and never said anything, but in any case, the fan is now looking to sue.

don't be a pussy. Rick, who is pound-for-pound the toughest guy in the league, never hit you or hurt you. he grabbed your jersey collar because you were being a dick. just enjoy getting to tell chicks in bars that you were the guy Rick grabbed and let it go

I wish I could say I know who it was but I didn't get a good look at him. I don't know WTF he would sue for. :dunno:

Today's games in Atlanta and Columbus drew crowds of 8,000 and 9,000 respectively. We're going to run out of Canadian cities to put all these teams in soon.

Fuck. Are you serious? That's just shameful. And Chicago gave Byfuglien to those dolts. I would like to see more northern teams; Seattle, Milwaukee, Hartford, Winnipeg. Okay, well maybe not Hartford or Milwaukee, but at least Winnipeg and Seattle. :dunno:

It's fucked up because Columbus is in the north; they just need to actually have a team that is worth seeing. The support was there the year they made the playoffs. That's the problem with all of the expansion teams, really. Ten years of futility will make anyone stop paying to see their team. Hell, Minnesota - the closest thing you guy's have to Canada - is getting 16,000 people to their games now - otherwise known as Nashville numbers.

Seattle is a given; put a NHL team there and it will be a huge success. Maybe even in Portland, too. I don't know if the Blackhawks would let a team in Milwaukee, just like Buffalo/Toronto and Hamilton, but I'd like to see that, too. And Quebec would probably be a better city than Winnipeg; there's way more people. Maybe even Indianapolis or Salt Lake City would work better than Atlanta.

Dude, the Wild are still selling out. I don't see that trend or tickets for that matter going anywhere any time soon. They have the entire eastern portion of the state that will never venture anywhere near HWY 280 for to save their lives to go see a shitty Wolves game. :)

Not according to what I heard. The game against Vancouver got 16,000 fans. :dunno:

I guess it was just short of 17k. I'm surprised to hear that. That's the first game - regular or preseason - they have not entirely sold out. Huh. Very surprised. Now I know why they are doing the first bobblehead night in history coming up. That's on them. Those butt wackers got rid of the most explosive player in Gaborik so what did they expect. I know Gabby is an injury proned now, but still, that was punk shit.

However, that means the $60 seats are to be had for about $10 outside the X now. :1orglaugh My buddy and I are going to the Hawks game on the 30th. Wait a couple minutes after the game starts and you can get seats for $5 :1orglaugh
