Tampa needs a number one goalie. we have ever since Khabibulin left 6 years ago. Mike Smith was pulled after 12 minutes in this one after giving up 3 goals (2 short handed) on 7 shots. Ellis hasn't been stellar this year either. we need to find that one guy (a la Fleury, Brodeur, Lundqvist) that we can count on year in year out. i'm sick of shitty or inconsistent goaltending holding us back

But I thought Smith was the greatest goalie of all time.

I'm really impressed with the way the team is playing this season , they never give up. Tampa is first in the east despite having poor goaltending , imagine if the goalies were good. Last night Smith was god awful and he almost cost us the game. Ellis was great , I hope he can continue to play like this. If he does , then he's going to become the clear cut #1. It's sad for Mike Smith but since the concussion he has lost his greatness.

i expect our tandem will be Ellis and Desjardins next year. i can't imagine we're going to re-sign Smith

Don't be surprised if Desjardins gets a shot this season. In the best case scenario for next season , I would love to see Tokarski make the team at least as a 30 game backup.

I agree last year we have lost 6-1 but we cawed back and won it 5-3 these are the games we have to win to get back to the postseason
