Regardless of LSD's effects, I'm glad someone is on the same level as me.
I think you underrating Zetterberg and Datsyuk, but that is your choice, both are top 10 players in the league and Top 5 a few years in production. Both were not first round picks either, 6th and 7th round ones. Ken Holland would not trade either for Malkin. Crosby is a great player, I agree.
I agree losing both of them in the playoffs would be a big uphill battle.
crosby would have had a 100 point season this. plus other years were he had 100. pretty sure malkin has had 1. zetterberg and datsyuk im pretty sure have not. i was just saying crosby and malkin are more valuable to their team then zetterberg and datsyuk.

You are pretty wrong. Datsyuk and Zetterburg are far better 2 way players than those two. Pavel is the best 2 way player in the league. Player polls agree. crosby/malkin might score more goals. But better players. No way.
Crosby/Malkin cheepshot artists delux. As I stated in a previous post, My favorite part of the whole season was seeing cindy get a taste of his own medicine. Malkin is a slashing goon.
Neither will ever play for the Wings. Wings draft/trade for players with class and integrity. those 2 have neither.
You're kidding yourself if you think Detroit wouldn't trade Datsyuk or Zetterberg or both for Crosby. And he'll never be a Wing, not because he 'doesn't have class' but because Pitt will never get rid of the best player on the planet.
It makes me laugh when Wings fans try to use the 'well Datsyuk and Zetterberg are better two way players, so they're better overall' argument. I'm a Wings fan, and I love having those guys on my team, but Crosby is lightyears beyond their game. It's not just about offense, (he was on pace for 60 goals and 120 points this year) he's good on the faceoff, forechecking, powerplay (look at Pitt's PP since he went out), penalty kill. He has all the intangibles. Unquestionable leadership. His vision is unparralleled. He raises the level of play of his teammates. Even on team Canada, full of superstars, it's Crosby who gets the most out of everybody and when things are rough he puts the team on his back. He's unstoppable. Anybody remember Spezza trying to chase Crosby down behind the net? Classic.
Some of y'all need to leave your bias elsewhere and give credit where credit is due. Crosby is a once a generation player. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are very good players, but let's be realistic here.

from what ive seen the only player poll datsyuk was in was best russian which he won finally beating out ovechkin.
but if the leafs ever make the proper moves and become a contender. my head might go up my ass too. its been like 7 or 8 years since they made the playoffs. i cant remember if my head was up my ass back then.

*sigh* and now so is Pavel Kubina.
the hit on Gagne was a good, clean hit. his head bouncing off the ice was an unfortunate after effect.
the elbow to Kubina's head was not clean.
Lightning win it, but they won't win the series.
Using advanced statistic sabermetric type stuff for hockey a good case could be made that Datsyuk has at least been Crosby's near equal the last 3 or 4 years, and a good and not totally unthinkable case could be made for him being the best player in the league as far as what leads to wins. He's right up there in any case. Too many people fall in love with total points and goals. Even plus/minus can be a flawed statistic.

Another game in San Jose laced with BS penalties.. Boarding on Bertuzzi??? that was a joke!! Slashing on Eaves chincy call!! the high sticking in OT was legitimate but the tying goal by Pavelski was scored well they were on that BS boarding call too Bertuzzi..
Man Detroit looked RUSTY!!
Howard always gets outplayed by the opposing goalie!! and he's always out of position giving up to much of the net too the other team.. I'll say BS too both of those pre-game comments I read some people write.. They looked pretty good after 8 days of rest.. and Howard had NO chance on a goal batted out of mid-air and a deflected puck in OT.. its not like he let in any soft goals.. :dunno:
I'm NOT mad @ Detroit they played a pretty damn good road game, they deserved too win IMO.. But again Shitty Officiating and some damn good saves by Niemi and Detroit comes up on the short end for a change. :horse: but its all good, maybe this will PISS the Red Wings off and they come out and smoke San Jose on Sunday in game 2.. :2 cents:

I only saw third period and overtime and it was all San Jose. San Jose had almost twice as many shots as Detroit (46-25). Judging by what I saw - San Jose really deserved to win.

That's why the game was so deceiving.. allot of the shots San Jose had were from there PP.. SJ out-shot Detroit pretty bad in the 2nd period.. but allot of SJ's shots were NOT of the dangerous variety IMO..
All I am saying is HOWARD could have had a Shutout if it wasn't for the batted in goal pavelski scored while SJ was on the PP compliments of a pretty bad boarding penalty that was called against Bertuzzi.. if there was NO PP, maybe pavelski doesn't score that goal.. just saying.. :2 cents:
Fuck I love San Jose. Niemi owns Detroit.
