Rams with the scariest DL in the league. Donald, Quinn and Long won't be easy to block.

Those are the headliners for sure but monster Brockers at DT and the depth of rotation with Hayes, Carrington, Sims and Langford are what makes our's quite possibly the best DL as you suggest. Not enough bodies on offense to block everyone so it's the perfect way to go after NFC West opponents. Donald was a steal at 13 IMO....Fisher and Snead have said they were shocked that he was still there. Now, we need to pick up a solid FS, maybe another OLB and a nickel-back to go with Johnson and Jenkins at CB and we can compete with anyone on the defensive side of the ball as far as I am concerned....especially with new DC Gregg Williams directing things. I'll be excited to see what we do in the next 2 days to fill some holes but so far, I'm loving it. We got the 2 best linemen in the draft on both sides of the ball so how can you not be happy with that?

Also, when was the last time no RBs went in the first round?

No backs taken in the first last year either.

I watched a video somewhere on the net last night which suggested there was a possibility no RB might be drafted until the 3rd round which makes that Mike Ditka trade years back seem like it happened on another planet. Heh, guess the NFL really has evolved / morphed / shifted.

The evolution of the RBBC concept as opposed to the now-rare feature-back (ala Adrian Peterson) is fueling this process. We'll still see a lot of first-round backs taken when the talent level is justified....just not with the same priority as years before.

I was surprised to see Dallas pass on Manziel, I was surprised Manziel went before Bridgewater, I was surprised Bortles went before both of them.

Was hoping Benjamin would stay long enough for SF to grab him, and when he went to CaroLina I hoped they would pick up Lee. Really didn't expect to hear Jimmie Ward selected. Looks like the plan is to start him at nickel and build him up to replace Bethea.

I like the Ward pick, but was hoping for Dennard or Verrett to drop. Those two guys going back to back kinda forced our hand. Baalke doesn't usually miss on D, so let's hope that trend continues.

If we weren't having the troubled offseason that we're having, I would have liked Roby, but we don't need more trouble makers.

Wouldn't mind grabbing CB Keith Mcgill and one of the great WR still available. Lee, Matthews, Robinson, Lattimer or Bryant would be nice. I think we'll get at least one of those WR.

Stevie Johnson to San Fran for 2015 4th round pick.

How is it that the 49ers always manage to pick up some top-tier receiver on the back side of his career for next to nothing (like Boldin last year)?? Great pickup for them....just increases the need for the Rams to get a real free safety and move T. J. McDonald to the strong side. Brooks from FSU or Reynolds from Stanford would be the one on my radar if I were Les Snead.

The Rams draft was just stupendous. They covered every area of weakness on the club and bolstered an already strong D-line into what may now be considered the best in the NFL with the addition of Donald and late-round pass-rush specialist Michael Sam. Garrett Gilbert has the size and pocket presence to become a solid backup to Sam Bradford. We added some nice pieces to the secondary in Joyner, Gaines, Mo Alexander and C.B. Bryant. We nabbed a solid complement to Zac Stacy in Tre Mason at RB and grabbed some extra O-line depth with guant Van Dyk from Portland State. Robinson is a freak talent who appears to be a one-man wrecking crew if he can be coached up to become an effective pass defender. I love what Les Snead and Jeff Fisher have done for this club on paper. Now let's see how it translates to the gridiron. If existing WR talent can finally start living up to billing and Bradford stays healthy, this team will be a force to be reckoned with in the powerful NFC West.

Pat O'Donnell did more bench press reps than Clowney at the NFL Combine

I'd give the Lions a solid D grade in the draft..... pathetic

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
The Dolphins showed once again they have a few players who are stupid assholes. I am sure most, if not all teams have assholes, but the Dolphin players are stupid enough to broadcast it.

Yes, there really does seem to be some sort of pattern in place with this team. Coincidental or is is built into Joe Philbin's culture? :dunno:

I think it was a culture in place before Philbin, but he did nothing to alleviate the situation. I was listening to Dan Le Batard on ESPN Radio and he had Incognito on. Incognito described how he would take a rookie's credit card, go buy a couple jet skis, ride them all day, then abandon them. ESPN seems to have lost that audio. Pouncey's tweet during the draft was very telling. There are a few assholes on that team. I have never really liked the Dolphins, easy to root against them now.
