32 days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Eric Weddle, free safety for the San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Rams. Weddle has been an All-Pro five times in his career (2x 1st Team 2011, 2014; 3x 2nd Team 2010, 2012, 2013) and led the league in interceptions in 2011. He was elected to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team this offseason.

Pretty good in his prime. No longer in his prime, c'est la vie. I think the SD front office dissed him, and it started to slide from there. At least he got $, it's a violent position in a violent sport, he had a right to squeeze all the dollars in his prime as he could.

22 days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Christian McCaffrey, running back with the Carolina Panthers. McCaffrey has been an All-Pro for the past two seasons (2nd-Team 2018; 1st-Team 2019) during which has been the focal point of Carolina's offense. Last season, he joined elite company as a back who has gained over 1,000 yards both rushing and receiving in a single season.

Joe: From what I remember - Weddle's .. daughter was .. involved in a half-time show during a game. He stayed at the tunnel to see it, instead of going in for half-time. He got reamed for doing so. He went to Baltimore the following season.

I wonder if the Tailgate Parties will also be enforced to only 25% capacity or will there be full-fledged Tailgate Galore?
Tons of people grilling, eating, drinking, partying ... with squat for social distancing and masks.

15 days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Patrick Mahomes, quarterback with the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite only being in the league for three seasons, Mahomes has already had an accomplished career. In 2018, he won NFL MVP, NFL Offensive Player of the Year, led the league in touchdown passes and was a First-team All-Pro. Last season, Mahomes led the Chiefs to victory in Super Bowl LIV and was named the game's MVP.

Saints running back Alvin Kamara is holding out for a better contract and the Saints are reportedly open to trading him.

Eight days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Lamar Jackson, quarterback with the Baltimore Ravens. Jackson was named Ravens' starter late in his rookie season and would go on to become the youngest quarterback to ever start an NFL playoff game later in the year. The 2019 season was Jackson's first as a starter and he was named NFL MVP, led the league in touchdown passes and was a First-team All-Pro.

Purportedly the Patriots are cutting ex-ATL WR M. Sanu.. They gave up a 2nd round pick to get him at the 2019 season's trade deadline, and he injured his ankle in his .. first game?? Should have instead traded for ex-DEN WR Emmanuel Sanders, who was a stud for the 49ers..

Agreed that Sanders is much better than Sanu. SMU sent some good guys to the pros in the few years.

I'm drafting soon! I know about Fornette and AP, is there anything else? Last minute injuries anything?
