Detroit snatches defeat from the hands of victory.

Timr to give Kellen Moore a shot. Stafford is just shit.

Detroit is just a comedy of errors. It's sort of like watching a potential train wreck every game. It makes me wonder how good they would be if they had somebody that actually instilled a bit of discipline into them.

I also think Stafford is of those people that hurts a team, but who’s also good enough he can’t be let go. It’s a bad situation to be in. I think teams should either have an elite QB or be looking for one, but in Detroit’s case he’s just good enough that they go with him because it’s hard to find somebody better and they don’t want to go through the effort, yet he’s bad enough he’s not going to propel them to the top. Stafford also has a tendency to make 4 or 5 completely bone headed mistakes a game even when he can make some great throws with them.

Remember when the NFC North seemed like s tout division? Now it seems like each team is doing it’s best to not win it. Whoever comes out on top looks like they will win the division by default.

When the Panthers are winning, my entire outlook on life changes. I notice things I never knew were there before. Dew glistening on a newly formed leaf. Birds singing. Stoplights.

Anyway, the winning streak continues. First win in franchise history over Miami. Winning a prototypical trap game: on the road, short week, slow start, this team keeps passing all the tests. Bush was still president the last time the Panthers fielded a team that was still interesting in December. I'm going to live this up.

The playoffs are still going through Denver, so they have that. But they still aren't winning with that defense. Pretty sure me and my immediate family could put up 24 on them. Pats will beat Denver in the NFCC 38-34. Shoulda went to San Fran, Peyton.

Super Bowl winner comes out of the AFC. And it won't be Detroit.

He wouldn't have won a SB in San Fran either because he can't handle the pressure.

What did "the pressure" have to do with tonight? Or Raheem Moore blowing his coverage trying to be a hero? Pretty sure he led a game tying drive under pressure tonight. And has more game winning drives than anybody ever. His D had a 24 point lead and blew it. This loss is on them. And Fox, I'd say. Crap coach. You don't lay off on anybody. Especially Brady.

Last night was a preview of whats to
come in the Super Bowl......only colder, windier and snowier.

11 fumbles.....game ending on a muffed punt do to wind...errant passes from 2 of these greats.

2 best teams should decide who is best in perfect conditions.
I'm from Jersey and I think it's a shit idea for it to be here....

Dude, he had 75 passing yards through 3 and a half quarters, 75. He hung his defense out to dry, if it weren't for them they wouldn't have had the 24 point lead in the first half. This was a big game against a guy who has owned him his entire career, he could have put that game away last night if he really had it in him but he doesn't, he tucked in his vagina while the GOAT did his thing. I'm sick of this guy getting a pass, he never played well when it matters most and that's what I will always remember about him.

Not to change the subject but the Rams put a whoopin' on da Bears yesterday. With their new-found running game and the way the defense is playing, they have suddenly become a formidable opponent. At 5-6, the odds of them making the playoffs are somewhere between slim and none but at least things are finally looking up. It's been a long drought in the Gateway City but I love what Fisher and Snead have brought to this team.

Why do I get the feeling that if given a choice to pick one quarterback to win an important game will all else being equal you would actually pick somebody like Eli Manning instead of Peyton, Rodgers, or Brady like most rational people would? Heck, by your reasoning people could argue that Brady has choked considering his most recent Superbowl loses. What's more likely is that both of them have gotten a little unlucky over their careers (or at least the last six or so in Brady's case) instead of them having some choking ability. In any one game Peyton gives his team a better chance of winning than anybody else right now and with the exception of two or three years since after his rookie season that has probably been the case his entire career. It's just that football can be a fickle sport, all else is almost never equal, and football played by 53 players on each side not to mention the quality of the coaching staffs. A lot can happen, especially in a single game. It's not really any more complicated than that.

As far as the Rams are concerned, remember when people had written them off at the start of this year?...whoops. I'm still not totally sold on them though, but at least they look like a competent football team.

I never said I wouldn't pick Rodgers or Brady, I said I wouldn't pick Manning. He's a choker, people need to fucking accept it.

I am disgusted with the Jets. In perfect position to leg up on the rest of the conference after a break. What do they do for their next 2 games? Sore 17 and allow 56. Oh, but they can stop the run. Big fucking deal. Just toss it over their heads. Don't worry about their offense, Jet passes aren't going to be caught. Thanks for the nice half season you gave me. Last home game is Dec. 22. I'll bet you can get a better parking spot at stadium then at the Paramus Park mall.

Manning ended up with 4.2 yards per pass attempt. That's horrid.

Fuck yes it is but that's not even the half of it. Did you see the look on his face during that game Sunday Night? He was scared fucking shitless going against Brady in the frigid cold, he was defeated before the game even started because he can't handle the pressure. I don't care how many TD's and passing yards that a-hole can throw in meaningless games, when the chips are down he run and hides. That tells me a lot about his character. He's gutless and a fraud. what's really fucked up is Tony Romo gets crucified for doing pretty much the same thing but not that untouchable POS. Anyone who listened to the media all these years instead of seeing and judging it with their own eyes should be ashamed of themselves.

Well, considering that most of the preseason predictions placed them at the bottom of the standings as one of the three worst team in the league I can't say I'm extremely disappointed with the 5-6 mark, but obviously, as a fan, I'm pretty frustrated with their latest performances. The defense can only do so much when offense isn't doing their job. But with the remaining schedule what it is, they can end the season with a solid 8-8 mark.

I have never seen a year like this where so many team in a division, in this case the NFC North, have continually tried so hard throughout the year to lose each game they are in. Whoever comes up winning it will be by default. All for of them are acting like the Lions this year.

I never said I wouldn't pick Rodgers or Brady, I said I wouldn't pick Manning. He's a choker, people need to fucking accept it.

Do you have any actual sensible analytical evidence that Manning is a "choker"? I'm going to guess no.

I put Rodgers and Brady up there because quite frankly over the past six or so years they have been as much of a "choker" as Manning has. (Not to mention both are not even having great years now.) Remember both of their near undefeated seasons where they were knocked off by a much inferior team? Remember the Pats two Superbowl loses to the Giants? When was the last time Brady won a Superbowl by the way? Does his winner sauce from the Pats beating the Rams, Panthers, and Eagles (barely in each case) years and years ago before he was an elite QB who won by good fortune and a good defense make up for not living up to expectations for the better part of a decade now when he really is one of the best in the league.

Going by your definition of choking why would you now put Brady ahead of Eli, or heck anybody over Eli if your going by your convictions for that matter, who must now the most clutchiest clutch performer that ever clutchy won clutch games considering his team was barely a top ten team the years he won? Although I thought Flacco might be up there now also in the annals of clutchiness (How's that working out for Baltimore? Did the magic clutch fairy forget to sprinkle magic dust on Flacco this year or is this always been his real level of performance and he just got lucky for a few games? Hey remember In Big Ben was also clutch? It must be somebody else the magic fairy passed over?) I don't put any more negative blame on Brady than he deserves for that than I do Manning for anything in his career.

Of course I don't believe in notions like clutch performance without proof, which there is none although there is proof it's probably an illusion, and true choking is probably extremely rare and overrated in professional level sports. Weird things happen in sports. The worse team sometimes loses. The better player sometimes plays with worse talent than others around his sport, and on any given Sunday the worse teams might win. It's even more striking when one considers the very little amount of games one has to statistically judge people by each year. There is often not that much difference between a team that 8-8 and one that 12-4 other than a few plays here and there. It's hard for a lot of people to accept this, but much of happens in football it is just dumb luck combined with small sample size, not all but A LOT. If not Peyton really needs to hunt down and have a talk with that magic fairy that's been unfair to him.
