NFL '10/'11 Season Thread.

Looks like JizMarcus Rubballs is still in Oakland for a bit. Speaking of Oakland, has anyone heard anything out of Old General Davis yet? Isn't it about time they let his ass out of the cellar now? The draft is over so any chance for him to salivate and throw money at physical specimens who don't know if a football has laces has long passed.

All I was saying was Clausen would be ready to start. He would probably better than Tarveris Jackson.

Farve gonna get the surgery, but wait til the last minute so he could use as an excuse not to attend training camp.

Watering down? Last year Brett had the best season of his career. He had the highest completion percentage he has ever had as well as the highest QB rating he has ever had. I hardly call that watered down. You are, however, correct about him needing to retire if for anything to cut down on the diva bullshit he drags the league through every year.

the only reason he was so good cus he had a good offense behind him he didnt have to over throw . and the games that were left in his hands he lost

That is a valid point. They have only gotten better now that they picked up Gerhart in the back field along with AP.

I don't know if they are any better this year with Gerhart. He's a banger, but Taylor was too. And he could catch passes out of the backfield. They'll miss Chester.

True as well. Who picked up Chester Taylor again? In any case, the Vikings will more than likely be on top of the NFC north again this year with or without Favre at QB. And how bout that opening game eh? Still hard to believe that the fucking Saints won a Super Bowl. I have nothing against the Saints really. I actually like them. I'm just happy that the f$%kin cheating assed Patriots didn't go anywhere near Miami.

The Chicago Bears picked him up to compliment Forte. This division is going to be tough in a couple years. Assuming Chicago bounces back and Detroit keeps on making solid moves.

I could actually see Green Bay taking the division. Especially if Favre doesn't return.

And fuck the Pats!!!

Yeah, Detroit is just a few more pieces away from being a real contender. They kinda remind me of were the Saints were after Katrina. Lets hope in a few years they meet with the same fate.

It's ironic that we are talking about the division being such a killer one nowadays. Does anybody on here remember 2005? The division was horrible that year, at one point all 4 teams were below .500 and Chris Berman referred to it as the "NFC Norris" division.

I don't know if Favre needs an excuse. The Vikings would probably let him get out of training camp anyhow. They let him last year, and I think all that stuff about not deciding until late and showing up then was something they were all in on. The only excuse they would need is something to tell the media, and maybe some of the other players, even though most of them now what happening.

I can't believe Russell is still with the Raiders. Williamson from ESPN said that Russell looked slimmed down and threw the ball sharply.:wtf: Now the fucktard decides he wants to play football.

The NFC North didn't even exist until 2002, though.

True but the division only lost Tampa Bay in realignment. You have always had Detroit, Green Bay, Chicago and Minnesota when it was the Central. Hence the "Norris" division reference. Plus the style of play in the division has historically resembled a bunch of tough as nails hockey goons playing the game. This is the division of The Purple People Eaters, The Monsters Of The Midway, Alex Karras and Ray Nitchke.
