NFL '10/'11 Season Thread.

Wow. That's a lot more than I expected. I heard Haynesworth was a detail or two away from becoming a Lion. :dunno:

Jared Gaither would be siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic in red and gold. :nanner:

Haynesworth's contract is outrageous :dunno: I don't see any team grabbing him. If Osi Umenwhatever is on the trading block, why not go for him :dunno: That guy is a sack machine...the Lions need the sacks and could afford Umenwhatever, right?:dunno:

I think Peter King is sort of a clown. But this guy for SI might be on to something here with this version of the draft.

Would Pete Carroll turn his back on SC and draft Eric Berry? Ouch, that would ~enflame~ :flame: the USC/Tenn hatred wouldn't it? It would be hard to justify Pete turning his back on hometown hero USC hero Taylor Mays...

I don't see Pete taking a RB with the #6. I think he takes a Defensive Stud...maybe Everson Griffin :dunno:

You know I love Griffin, but I think he's a reach at #6. Huge reach. They could probably get him in the 2nd.

LOL! If the Lions get Osi Umenyiora and then draft Ndamukong Suh added on to the fact that they already have Kyle Vanden Bosch, that front line will be beastly in addition to setting a record for having the most players with the most unique sounding names on a defensive line.:D

I shit myself just thinking about that.

However, if they get Umenyiora, they will probably draft OT Russel Okung to protect Staffords ass, so he doesn't have to beat the Browns with a dislocated shoulder again!!

If Carroll really believes that Mays is the next Ronnie Lott, than he takes Mays with #6. If Mays is more of a raw prospect, then I could see him roll the dice and try to get Mays later. Griffin has the speed and smarts to be an NFL impact player, but does he have the work ethic? The worry with drafting Griffin is that he gets the big payday and then just becomes a pampered, lazy prima donna.

The sensible PR pick is to take Mays w/6 and pay off SC and the Seattle fanbase and then hope Griffin falls into Rd 2. Maybe they get out of the 14 pick and try to add 2nd/3rd round picks and get Griffin in 2nd Rd.

If PC is going to become a "cold" GM, Coach...he could draft the "sure thing according to the experts" w/Berry and fill the gaping hole they have at Safety.

Seattle is really a mess. They need help everywhere...

I hear ya man. That is the problem with a draft that is too deep with talent. Teams have needs and it just so happens that every team that is up front have the most needs and all the positions that they have needs for are filled with some very promising talent. Honestly, this draft is pretty unpredictable. As if the Donovan McNabb thing wasn't enough to mix things up, now reportedly we have Pittsburgh talking about trade offers for Ben Rapenburger. Its madness I tell ya!:nanner:

6 games is alittle much for a man who was found innocent . not not guilty but innocent of all charges

Bear: They found no such thing. The DA found that there was not enough evidence to prosecute. That is a long way from declaring a man’s innocence.

Incidentally there was not enough evidence after the club owner erased the tapes, had his employees bleach down the rest room that night and the police, who palled around with Ben, bungled the investigation.

It's pretty disgusting what Big Ben did and all he got from the league was a suspension that is basically similar to as if he sprained an ankle.

Wow. Way to drop the hammer on this total douchebag...

Pittsburgh out to just trade him to any team for a 7th round pick or cut him. Let him be some other team/community's nightmare...
