Dwight Howard is the biggest primmadonna in the league. Guy is a royal fucktard who can't make a free throw. I'd beat that motherfucker in a game of around-the-world easily.

The Bulls need Kirk Hinrich! It's frustrating because they have just enough power to go nose to nose and just barely trail. The team needs Hinrich back in time for Saturday's game or it's over for them.

Miami vs Memphis is my championship series prediction, and that's probably the one team with so much size they can beat Miami in a series.

Time for CP3 to come to the Lakers where he belongs. No way he stays a Clipper.

Here's hoping Memphis can make some noise.

Why should that be? They're an LA team just like any other, it's a huge market regardless if he's wearing red or yellow.

He never chose to go there. I just don't believe he stays. Maybe if they made it to the conference finals. I don't actually believe he'll be a Laker either. Maybe Dallas.

Congrats to all the Game 6 winners ! Esp. Memphis who did a great job taking care of business by avenging last years loss to my Clippers...Overall though the home teams were very dissapointing in their performances... there maybe a lot of changes and people out of jobs on some of these teams after getting beaten at home in such a critical Playoff game.

I'll be interested to see how Brooklyn performs in a home game they should win against a depleted Bulls teams...P.J Carlesimo's job is probably riding on this one.

Clippers lose. All is well again. Well, not all, the Lakeshow is still in shambles. But I'll take my blessings where I can get them.

I root for the Clippers players and feel bad for fans of that franchise, but I'm glad they haven't done much now that they made the playoffs. Their owner is a scrooge and an embarrassment to competitive sports. He's lucky there's the Marlins owner who is even worse.

Predictions:

OKC over Houston
San Antonio over Lakers (sweep)
Denver over Golden State (could be very interesting)
Memphis over Clippers

Miami over Milwaukee (sweep)
Boston over New York (upset)
Indiana over Atlanta
Brooklyn over Chicago

Finals:

Miami over OKC (again, not as good a series this year though, probably a sweep)

MVP: LeBron James (Miami; no-brainer)
Rookie of the Year: Damian Lillard (Portland; also a no-brainer)
Sixth Man of the Year: J.R. Smith (New York; seriously, what an amazing season!)
Defensive Player of the Year: Marc Gasol (Memphis; there are a lot of candidates (Dwight Howard, Serge Ibaka, Tim Duncan, Joakim Noah, Andre Igoudala, LeBron James, etc.), and my pick wouldn't be Gasol, but that's my prediction; I think my pick would be Dwight Howard; his defensive rebounding is astounding, he takes away so many scoring opportunities from his opponents with that and with blocking shots; I may not like him much, but he's the most impactful player on the defensive end in the world, in my opinion)
Most Improved Player: who cares?
Coach of the Year: Mike Woodson (New York; this is a tough one too, and I'm not sure who I would pick; Woodson would be in the mix because he worked with an odd assortment of old players and got the most anyone could've possibly gotten out of them; Gregg Popovich, George Karl, and Erik Spoelstra would have to be in the mix as well)

K, 5/8... not great. I think I was one of the few who picked the Grizzlies to beat the Clippers (and I don't really understand why because I think the Grizzlies are a clearly better team, just less flashy and more under-the-radar), but I made some foolish picks (such as Celtics over Knicks), so whatever, I'm no guru. So, time to pick the next round:

OKC over Memphis
San Antonio over Golden State (I don't see the Warriors competing without David Lee)

Miami over Chicago (maybe a sweep, but the Bulls will probably win one and make it a five-gamer)
Indiana over New York

Sticking with Miami over OKC in the Finals

Miami over Chicago (maybe a sweep, but the Bulls will probably win one and make it a five-gamer)

I couldn't argue too much with that. I'm just glad they made it as far as they have. Not many people thought the Bulls would even make it to the playoffs, and they did. Most people thought there was no way they would beat the Nets, but they did. The Heat are different, of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if Miami underestimates the Bulls, at least in game 1.

I just hope my Bulls can make this series competitive. That's all I ask because there's no chance of them winning this series

I agree that the Bulls are a long shot to win this Heat series, but what they have done so far has been impressive. Joakim and Nate have been great, and Tibbs shouild have been coach of the year for trusting ALL his players, and his ability to have his enitre roster ready to contribute and play at a high level every night.

That being said, Vinny Del Negro (rotations all fucked up), PJ Carlisemo (rotations all fucked up), Doc Rivers (not playing Courtney Lee. Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford not prepared to contribute at a high level at the most critical position) and Kevin McHale (not playing Brooks nearly enough instead of an injured Linn ) should all be fired immediately for incompetance in mis-managing and underutilizing the talent on their respective rosters.

The coaches who lost in competitive series shouldn't be fired unless they were a huge favorite with way more talent. Should keep them and try to build upon what they've done next year. If the 2 seed Knicks had lost to the 7 seed Celtics then maybe a coaching change would be necessary. Changing coaches in the NBA isn't like college basketball, you won't suddenly recruit different players. Phil Jackson can go GM, coach, or whatever for the Raptors, but unless suddenly Chris Paul decides to go to Canada, they'll still be a lottery team.

Speaking of GM's, add Danny Ainge and Danny Ferry to that fired list for royally fucking up their teams rosters. Also I wouldn't mind seeing Mark Cuban fire himself as owner for how bad he screwed up the Mavs roster since their championship year.

As for the coaches, their job is to manage talent on their roster and put them in positions to be successful. But player's can't contribute if they are on the bench, or are subbed into the game in bad player rotations where they are put on the floor at times and in situations where it is difficult for them to be successful.

I don't agree that a team has to loose as huge favorites for the coach to get fired. Coaches get fired all the time. What's more important is the job they do judged by how well their team plays with the talent available.

That was my point. Brooklyn had more talent then Chicago but lost a critical game 7 at home, Celtics lost a critical game 6 at home against the Knicks, a team they had already beaten twice, with an injured Carmelo Anthony, Clippers have more talent then the Grizzlies and blew home court advantage and a 2-0 lead in the series. All these losing teams had enough talent on their rosters to win, but the coaches didn't put the talent on the floor.

When as a coach you have talented players that you don't play because you don't have confidence in them or for whatever other reason (other than injury), and you loose critical games because of it, then that coach should be fired.

Also last year was Rudy Gay's first year with The Raptors. Next year, with a full training camp, and with a potential core roster of Rudy Gay, DeMar DeRozan, Andrea Bargnani, Amir Johnson, Linas Kleiza, and Kyle Lowry they most likely won't be a lottery team anyways, but if Chis Paul was on Toronto and Dwane Casey didn't play him for personal reasons, or because he didn't have confidence in hm, and Toronto arguably lost games because of it, then Casey should get the axe.
