What I find very interesting in reading this thread is how the two muslims involved have spent a lot of time talking about how it is only muslim "extremists" who perpetrate terrorism. These two guys have also talked about how if us infidels lump all muslims together, we are very ignorant.
That is one issue. The BIGGER issue in my mind is that, as usual, our resident muzzies haven't once taken a look at their own religion and spoken out against the so called extremists.
If you muslims would spend the same amount of time shaping up the rotten apples in your own barrel as you do whining about racism and other supposed injustices, the world would be a LOT better off.
As usual, we NEVER hear a single muslim denouncing terrorism or telling us what THEY are going to do about it themselves. All they do is continually cry about how it isn't them doing these things, it is just their muslim brothers and sisters who don't interpret the koran correctly.
You know what I think? I think you muslims should be the ones defending your faith against the radicals who are abusing it. It is up to YOU to CLEAN UP YOUR OWN BACK YARD. If you did that, maybe more people would want you in their neighborhoods.

The thing is, it's about the interpretation, not the actual books.

Covering face is more of a cultural thing than religious. Many Muslims hide behind religion when they want to legitimize some crazy cultural practice. In India, many Hindu women hide their faces from men who are not related to them but have no problem revealing their bellies and upper backs at the same time. In my opinion, covering face is a cultural thing which is still visible in many parts Asia among people of several creeds and backgrounds. Muslims with media exposure have just hijacked this culture and turned it into part of their religion.
With this age of terrorism I cringe with anger when I see Muslim women at public places with their faces and sometimes even eyes hidden under thick veils. If you try and investigate, you'll find out that many of them are doing it by choice and many in the West are doing it to spite their Western neighbours and other people at large.
