The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
I'm glad the Indians lost and I'm glad that Sabathia did what everybody thought he was going to do; not pitch. Seriously, he only pitches when he wants to and, if you don't want to be pitching on opening day, get the fuck out of baseball.

I hope we win 90-95 games

With their starting pitching that seems pretty doubtful, weak division notwithstanding. San Diego's going to be looking to trade Peavy before the trade deadline - but who would LA give up for him?

They should be an interesting team to watch, though.
I still think there's a decent chance Manny will implode somewhere along the line and take all the team chemistry down with him.

I'm really worried about that my self, but dealing with Peavy we really don't have to much to offer.

As long as there bullpen holds up they should be okay.

yeah i agree but with the addition of KROD, putzs, green, and a few other pitchers they should be good. plus they got rid of alot of the bad bullpen pitchers they had last year that sucked.

Never hate to say the Yankees or Dodgers are champions:thumbsup:

Very happy with Trevor Cahill's outing. Aside from a bit too many walks (which I'm sure was at least somewhat influenced by nerves/adrenaline) that's a pretty darn good outing.

and the offense actually scored runs. now they need 2 more nights of constiency.the giants scored 10 runs and hit 3 hr's yesterday so may the nl west is a 3 team race?

I offense looked really good, that's true. As for the Giants, I'm not all that convinced, as they're facing a barely league average pitching staff (and that's giving the pitching some credit). They're going to have to show that kind of progress against much better teams if they can contend.

Well they will have to show something if they plan on making a run I'm hoping the NL West will kick butt this year

I don't know why I was thinking of this tonight (maybe because I'm watching the White Sox), but...

Why don't more teams rock pin-stripes on their uniforms? It seems that very few teams do that anymore. I miss it...:(

Damn it, I'm back in WI and I still don't get to watch Brewers games.
