watch out for the Braves they are my dark horse of the NL East I sttill say the Phillies will take the East

Mets' problem with LOB continues. Yes it's early but Marlins is showing that they aren't about to let other teams take the East without a fight. If Mets don't treat every game as a must win (given how close they were at making the playoffs past 2 seasons) then they will find themselves out of playoffs yet again. If Omar and Wilpons had signed Manny and move Murphy to 2B while cutting Castillo this team would be scary, but they rather keep their money than making this team championship caliber.

The Zito signing will go down as THE WORST in the HISTORY of sports.

That is a pretty bad signing as of right now,but what about the Rockies signing Mike Hampton?According to Wikipedia, his contract was the biggest in the history of sports at the time, and he was a total failure for the money that he was getting.

The big Chan Ho Park (I think from the Rangers) has to be up there with the worst contracts ever given out.

He, Jaret Wright, and Carl Pavano all deserve a mention in that conversation.

^^^But Wright and Pavano went to the Yanks so that kinda dont count. But the Pavano one was pretty bad, injured for about 96% of the contract, yeesh. But if Zito keeps stinking it up Giants fans will hope he gets injured for a little while. Kinda early to be judging teams and players after what 5 games played? Give me month and maybe we'll find out if Cliff Lee will continue to stink it up or if the Marlins can maybe show they are a serious player in the NL East.

Considering Park signed with the Rangers, who had just signed A-Rod a season earlier, I'd put the Wright and Pavano signings on the same playing field.

yeah one week in dosen't start a trend.usally by mid may many players will give you a clue as to the kind of season they are going to provide. The other reason the Marlins and Braves are doing well early is better defense

AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera (maybe even a Triple Crown)
NL MVP: Manny Ramirez (should've won it last year, huge year ahead for him)

AL Cy Young: Roy Halladay
NL Cy Young: Johan Santana (Lincecum will lose out because his team is weak)

That's funny because I was going to mention Wright and Povano until I actually looked up Mike Hampton.I would say that Kevin Brown to the Yankees was a bust as well.

THats why they are called predictions. How fun would it be to pick half way through the season or wait a minute lets wait until the last day, then we can all make our predictions :rubbel:
