Lost

The X files went on too long, when they couldve devoted the last season.. or TWO if you're like some people that think Agent Doggett was a poor replacement...(I thought the T-2000 wasnt bad at all but the end of the series did lack charm/originality) so as I was saying, they couldve devoted the last season to explaining everything instead of the shove-it-all in a huge recap end-episode. Anticlimax, anticlimax!

Is it just me or did the end of the series turn into a soap opera? Plot twists and turns upon plot farts and plot diarrhea.

And..if ABC pulled Lost, the fans would pull together like they did for Firefly and they'd make a movie, methinks. Which would be awesome.. but they're only on season 3, a movie in ACCOMPANIMENT to the series would be a work of art, if they pulled it off ala X-Files did.. albeit the X movie sucked cuz it just recapped season one thru three and barely tied it back into the series. (okay, we lost our evidence. Lets go find out more crap.. from a new informant.. and when the season finale comes, answer two questions and present three more! GUA HA HEEE!)

I don't really know what you mean about the X-Files, as I didn't watch it, but I do NOT want a movie for Lost EVER! That seems to be a sure way to always fuck up a good thing.

I'm worried this program will go down in history as one of the biggest let downs ever.

I love it, but i just can't picture the ending actually being anything good...

Maybe in the last episode Jack wakes up and says "OH GOD, what a terrible dream!... i dreamed i was on an island, and... "

Yeah, that would be perfect ending :1orglaugh

From what I understand, the producers have already put to rest the idea that it's all a dream, or a reality show, or anything like that by saying that everything on the island is really happenning to the characters. When I saw that episode with Hurley though, when he thought he was in a coma, it really made me worry about that kind of thing though.

The producers have said that it is not a dream. And another big theory that was dismissed by the producers was that all of this was taking place in the dogs mind.

The producers have admitted that somebody on the official ABC Lost message board figured it out, but there are so many damn therories posted on there, no one can figure it out.

I have a strange feeling the ending is going to be a letdown, hopefully the producers have a good ending and this show can rank up there with the Fugitive and the Prisoner endings

Peace.

When i said it might be a dream, i wasn't serious, lol.

But yeah i've read so many god damn theories that when the show actually does end, im not gona be surprised, i'll just think "Oh yeah i heard this idea already..."

This may be a minor spoiler if you haven't seen the commercial for next week.

It says one of the survivors is going to die this week, and I can't for the life of me think of who it will be. The only thing that has me wondering is, I heard that the guy that plays Eko got a DUI in Hawaii. Now I know that they said that they didn't kill Libby and Ana Lucia because of their legal trouble, but I've never personally believed that. I'm not really ready for anyone else to die yet.

I think this is the best show ever! I've been hooked on it since it first aired...Can't wait to see what happens and I really hate the writers/producers for keeping us in the mist for so long; a part of me really wants this to be the last season so I can once and for all know what the hell is going on!

Well Locke and the gang are headed off to save whoever...

I say Desmond looks to be the next to die. Its just so very obvious! You cant have someone around SAVING people and spoiling the plans for THE OTHERS!

They'll put him in a situation where he'll die, but in doing so he'll save Locke and possibly one or more of the three prisoners. I'd say Jack.. but, he's my second choice of someone being killed. With Kate obviously going to Sawyer.. and the producers said this season will be much more focused on romance, Jack and desmond are left without love interests.. and Jack has had more than his share of flashbacks, so his story is played out quite well.

ALSO! They said season 3 will explain Jacks tattoos and what Libby was doing in Hurley's mental asylum. Well Libby is dead, but we still dont know whats going on, there. Jack could die, and we could very well learn more about him.

A good rule of thumb: Focus heavily on a a character before you kill them off. Its almost a soap opera rule. S3E1 was a Jack episode. S3E4 was Jack-ish. (He couldnt do much without a defib, anyhow..but I think he's ripe for joining the others! GUAH!)

As for somebody on the msg boards getting it right.. hell, a few years from now we'll look back on some messy wiki page and read who was right and know the whole story back and forward.

Hmmm...........

I remember last season, the producers plan on going for 5 seasons. This is the 3rd, so hopefully they will do some explaing by season end and hopefully start wrapping shit up by the end of season 4.

I heard tonights and next weeks episode is the last until Feb 2007. Any truth to that? It would not surprise me since ABC got a lot flack for showing so many damn repeats last season.

If any body gets killed this season, It might be Jack cuz he might start thinking he a damn superstar and wants to do big hollywood movies.

Peace.

what the fuck you lookin at?
well someone supposedly dies tonight, I say sayer (sp?) who else cares to guess?

That's right. Next week's episode is the last for 13 weeks! They are taking the break because, like you said, all of the flack over all of the re-runs last season. They will then show something like 16 episodes with no repeats to end the season.

Spoilers for those who are going to watch the West Coast feed.

So, Eko's dead....hmm...didn't see that coming! Man, whatever you do, don't get in trouble with the law on the Lost island! Now I REALLY don't believe the story we were told that Michelle Rodriguez, and Cynthia Watrouse weren't written off the show for getting DUI's.

DANGIT! I was just thumbing thru and big P, its like an unwritten rule that 'SPOILER AHEAD' should be in bold print or something!

Not that it matters.. * didnt have a huge part.. guess its a sweat lodge now, eh? Seems more spiritual than the alternative.

I thought I was doing a good job just labeling that it was a spoiler. I don't know, fuck it!

Anyway, I thought that the show tonight was pretty crappy. It seemed like it was just thrown together just to kill him off. I'm not very impressed with this season. I like the episodes with Jack, Kate and Sawyer, but the episodes with the other survivors just seem lame to me this season.

I just watched LOST on my DVR.

I was about to delete it and say fuck this show.....then Locke and them turned that TV on and that One Eyed Dude with the eye patch came on.....NOW I'AM HOOKED ON THIS SHOW LIKE A CRACKHEAD!

Who the fuck was that dude? They didnt show the DHARMA patch on his overalls, but it's obvious he is holed up in a hatch somewhere on the island.

I also noticed Locke, Desmond, Sayid's facial expression like they recognized him.

Now I gots to wait to who knows when to find out!

DAMN!

Peace.

which part don't you believe? the DUIs?

Or that that was the reason they both died in the same episode... hmmm what do you think....

You seem to have completely misunderstood my post. I don't believe the story the producers told us when they said that they didn't write Libby and Ana Lucia because of their legal trouble in Hawaii. In other words, I do think that they were written off of the show because of their legal situations.

I cant say I miss *who just died* at all, but now I cant wait for the operation.. to see if its another conspiracy and those X-rays were planted, or if he really saves him..or.. geez, they better answer that question NEXT episode, cuz being in suspense for G_D knows how long until they next air it isnt my bag, babe.

I agree with you. Your post was ambiguous which is why I wanted clarification.

You can't really see tumors on an X-ray. They are soft tissue. Maybe you can on a X-ray CT, but not a 2D X-ray.

I don't think the tumor will show up in great detail in an x-ray, but won't a "ghost" of it show up. As in the outline will show up because the x-ray doesn't pass through it as easily as it does with normal tissue?

Yeah i think your right. And Jack is a spinal surgeon, dedicating his life to this sort of thing. I think he could spot a tumor a mile off.
