In most other countries the gas is so much more expensive because your own governments put extra taxes on it. You can blame them.

Anyway, at the price fuel is rising maybe it will now be feasible to save up my own farts in a jar to sell at a later date.

Gas price's has went up here in the last 3 weeks.


It was $2.20 and now its $3.20.

In Sweden it's $7 a gallon because if I remember you/they realize their dependence on it can't continue so are using the excess revenue to develop alternate power sources?

Gas is the cheapest liquid man can purchase in the US.....That's a fact.
It's something like 20 cents for a cup....when some people pay 5-7 bucks for that same cup filled with coffee.

As long as we keep a deal with Saudi Arabia to protect their country for cheaper oil then it won't change until there isn't any more oil to protect.

This is exactly why I ride my motorcycle as much as possible! Gas around here is over $3.30, for the cheap shit, I use premium in the bike and it's still cheaper for a weeks worth of going to work than filling my damn car! 20 bucks in the car get's me to work a few days, 8 bucks in the bike I can get to and from work all week long!!!

I also find it funny that oil companies are posting record profits. Was 15 billion for the first quarter in 06, that's 5 bil a month fucking PROFIT!!! Then they gonna say they can't do anything about gas prices...my fuckin ass!:thefinger

why would the government even be allowed to make a law like that? this is a capitalist country. we live in a free market economy. supply and demand, supply and demand. it's just good business.

This is the sole reason that I'm voting Democratic in 2008. We need change and I'm not talking change at the pump.

You DO realize that it's the Democrats who make it difficult to drill for our own oil, and to build more refineries...either of which would help increase supply and lower gas prices.

I do agree something has to be done though. My family and I live on a rather tight budget, and paying all this extra money for gas has to come from somewhere. My employer doesn't give me a raise to offset higher gas prices.

What scares me is the prices on everything I see creeping upward. It affects just about everything and you know if/when the gas prices come back down, the prices on all those things that went up, won't.

Screw all of you. Convert your car, re-refine used chip fat from your local chippy, and drive for tax only. No fuel cost. I'm doing thousands of miles per year for hardly any cost at all.
