According to the "Lundberg Poll" (whatever that is) Chicago has the highest average price in the nation..........YIPPIE!
I'd rather get the Olympics!
With it, the ritual of rising fuel prices.
agree..
In sweden we pay $6.58 for a gallon...
$3.20 is fucking cheap!!
As much as we complain, it's still very cheap to what other countries pay.
Gas is the cheapest liquid man can purchase in the US.....That's a fact.
It's something like 20 cents for a cup....when some people pay 5-7 bucks for that same cup filled with coffee.
As long as we keep a deal with Saudi Arabia to protect their country for cheaper oil then it won't change until there isn't any more oil to protect.
Keep saying that to yourself as you fill up you tank and it goes over $100 soon. It's crazy.
I started riding he Lite Rail Transportation last week because of the cost. Its really not bad at all.... its actually kinda entertaining when the High School deliquents get out of school in the afternoon and fight.
They could charge us 8 bucks a gallon and we'd still pay, we'd complain, but we'd still pay. Do we have any other choice? Well yea, but we choose not to act on them..
Therin lies the rub.Do we have any other choice? Well yea, but we choose not to act on them..
Could not agree more!nothingandless said:why would the government even be allowed to make a law like that? this is a capitalist country. we live in a free market economy. supply and demand, supply and demand. it's just good business.
don't drive!! buy a bicycle, walk, take the bus or train.
Gas prices
This is the sole reason that I'm voting Democratic in 2008. We need change and I'm not talking change at the pump.
I do agree something has to be done though. My family and I live on a rather tight budget, and paying all this extra money for gas has to come from somewhere. My employer doesn't give me a raise to offset higher gas prices.
You DO realize that it's the Democrats who make it difficult to drill for our own oil, and to build more refineries...either of which would help increase supply and lower gas prices.

What scares me is the prices on everything I see creeping upward. It affects just about everything and you know if/when the gas prices come back down, the prices on all those things that went up, won't.
