There was never a Palestinian country, that was a partial map of the Turkoman (Turkish) lands which were divided into new countries by the Western countries after the war.
Most of the land ceded to the new Israel was unpopulated desert and arid lands, along with areas populated by Jews for literally hundreds of years.
Gaza was only recently populated to it's present levels, after Israel left the area the Palestinians poured in. Kinda like when Saddam took over Kuwait, and Palestinians flooded into occupied Kuwait to make it their own (at Saddam's invitation.)
Most (or all) of the violence in Europe occuring now as a result of the current fighting is by the usual Muslim groups of mean kids, paralleling the actions of the older Muslim extremists in Gaza, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq, and wherever.
Coming soon to your hometown...rampaging Muslims!

Even if someone believes this to be true, the State of Israel was established in 1948 and not with the borders it currently occupies.
(about exactly half the countries of the world currently recognize the State of Palestine and more recognize it's diplomatic status)

or perhaps the descendants of the Sumarians .... or perhaps the descendants of the Levanto-Aurignacian Ahmarian culture from 40,000 BCE ....
This would complicate matters just as much I think.

Really? Israel embargoed the the Gaza Strip, so any resources (ie, food, medical supplies etc) have to go through Israel before the Palestinians. They're holding it in Israel, none of it has entered the Gaza, but the Israeli's say different, yet the death toll keeps rising. Not even the media is allowed in the Gaza Strip at the moment to prove what Israel is saying is true. It's a disaster that they're trying to hide.
