well said bud i remember a time when games were ment to be a challenge and not every one could finish them back in the day when you finished a game it was something to be pleased about and you got something at the end for doing it !! even if it was just a nice cut scene !!

Games that punish you for playing; or, games that require work to be fun.
i put this in the NHL08 thread but i think it could go here also:
NHL08: this game is pissing me off!!!! i created my own team (and have a loaded roster) i shouldn't lose a game but i am 5-7-0-1 i have brodeur as my #1 goalie and he averages giving up 4-5 goals a game! i like the new scoring in the NHL but on a game? maybe i should just roll with it but my team is just not scoring.
my 1st line:

those 3 lines should be about a goal a shift and i average like 1-2 goals a game while giving up 4-5 like i said.

I don't play co-op or Multiplayer, so every game I buy has achievements for them, so I'll never get them. I'd like it in the future that all games are downloadable (like The Shivering Isles used to be), that way I could get the single player and nothing but single player achievements.
Oh, and things freezing in mid-air. Last night I threw a proxity mine at an enemy in F.E.A.R. and it froze in mid-air, weird experience.

Random battles in Final Fantasy games always gave me the shits unless I was farming items/leveling up.
