K so the multiplayer is just as fun as it was in the first one. But the shotgun is pure **** now. They go from the best shotty in video game history to the worst in just one game. fuck. Now the online is all lancer fire and chainsaws.

Shotty is like a fuckin slingshot. Unless your right next to the enemy your better off with the lancer now. But a crowded area is still best to go into with the shotty.

They made it **** because it was TOO good in the first one.

Have you guys tried the "Horde" mode in multi player ? It's great I love it ! The intensity is through the roof . Awsome new addition to the game.

probably gonna rent this one...when i get to it. not going outta my way to play it.
i got bored of the 1st one after a while. it's the same thing over and over.
not like any other game is different.i thought the graphics rocked but i don't need to buy this one, i tried to get through the 1st one so i can trade it in and get something for it before it got too low in the $$ trade in value

I forgot to mention the flamethrower. OMFG! This thing is sick! Not perfect, but its the best weapon in the game IMO. Doesn't take long at all to down an enemy with it, and people tend to quit shooting at you when you hit them with it. They know they either get out of the flame or die!

I'm 4/5's of the way through it myself on Normal (solo) and 3/5 of the way through on Hardcore (co-op). Looking forward to playing it on Live. (I still need some of the executions after all)

And yeah Legzman the flamerthrower is SICK. Loved toasting wretches! lol

I **** what they did with the shotgun, it is so random in multiplayer. Also, I really miss being able to roll and then shoot right away. I will say that sniping feels a bit better now, not sure, but is feels easier for me.

The campaign was a ton of fun (hardcore co-op), but the story made little to no sense. Half of the time I was wondering why I was trying to do an objective. The boss fights are not as good as the first game, they just feel like ther are there because they can be.

Horde mode is easily the best mode in the game, I will never get bored of that, but the fact that nobody seems to be willing to stay for the full 50 rounds gets really annoying.

Overall I would give the game an 8/10, worth buying, but things could be better.

I'm on level 35, I'll go through the last 15 rounds with you and 3 others sometime. Just message me and let me know what your doing. Probably saturday or sunday would be best.

this game is amazing. Horde is probably my favorite new feature. If you get a group of people who work together and communicate, you can go really deep.

u know id love to play the game online but their online system sucks. i have an awesome connnection for every other online game but this one leaves me sittin there for upwards of a half hour sometimes tryin to find a group and even then more than half the time the connection drops off once we are playin. they need to redo that part for sure

they patched the online multiplayer over thanksgiving. I've not checked it out since, but I'm sure it's better than it was.

the patch has done quiet a good job on fixin the timing issues of waiting all day to find a game but why does it still lose connection half way through a game still after the patch ?

The online is ok but really, it's the same as Gears 1, but now Epic has another $60 from each of us. I did love Gears 1 but man, they really missed the boat here. I'll play the next gears, but I doubt I'll stay up till midnight in the middle of the week for it. I loved the campaign. Was more in depth and descriptive than the first. Though the cheesy love story **** could have been left out.

Agreed...and i must say the whole scene with her dying in her arms was a few more gruesome points from being the end scene in a Metalocalypse episode.
