An unfancied side is going to be in the final no matter what. Belgium and Portugal are the biggest names inside the first half of the draw - and I wouldn't back either of them to make it that far, yet alone win the final. Switzerland, Poland, Croatia, Wales, Northern Ireland or Hungary could be in the final! Nobody would have predicted that.
Croatia look like a good bet at this moment in time, but who the hell knows who's going to win this thing. Even the stronger half of the draw haven't set the world alight with their performances.

And now we all know why I don't bet money or play fantasy sports. My reasoning may be solid, but I am wrong way too often. Gutted that Croatia is out. And to Portugal? If I was a ref, Nani would be red carded within twenty minutes for being a world class douche. He is a prime example of all that is wrong with soccer. Playing a little dirty and is a whiny little bitch.

I would agree that it was a cruel way of going out, but I thought Wales thoroughly deserved to go through. Northern Ireland didn't have anything to offer in attack, and they also had been defeated 3 out of the 4 games they played, whereas the Welsh had only been beaten once (by England). So I think Wales are the better side to go through, and should pose a bigger threat in the latter stages.
Surprised to see that Ireland is an all-white starting 11.

Agree with this, N.Irelands plan was long balls to Lafferty and hope for something from his knock downs, but Wales dealt with it really well and never seemed to be in danger of conceding.

Yes Wales were a better team than Northern Ireland, but this wasn't one of their best games and didn't create many chances themselves so it could have gone either way. I'm predicting Wales to face Portugal in the Semi Final with Bale vs Ronaldo.

I am glad Wales made it. Northern Ireland, man, thy got lucky and then started to slow down the game and tried to take it through, but that just gave rance the opportunities to make up for the early goal and then some.
France deserved the win, and will go on and on, I am sure!
