English Premiership Thread 2010/11

Wolves just ended Man Utd's 29 game unbeaten streak with a win today. I have to give it up for Wolves they played a hell of a game today, Man U just didn't do anything in the second half.

I can't believe that.
How was Nolan not sent off for getting Szczesny in a headlock and throwing him to the ground. Surely that was more grounds for a sending off than Diaby.

Exactly. That was a physical attack in the same manner of what Diaby did. Barton didn't even get a fucking card during the Diaby incident because if he had he might not have ran over to get the ball out of the net.

It was an embarrassment of a game in the second half. The second PK award even had the match commentators saying, "What the fuck was that."

But, where were the other Goons when our Keeper got mugged by two shit tards?

I would be berating everyone in a red shirt for being pussies on the pitch at that moment.

Well some consolation in Man U being beaten - at least we gain 1 point on them, but it really should have been 3. Dowd really should get sanctioned after that pitiful display of refereeing at St James Park.

Like they said, "Wot a goal!!!".I hope he's gonna be at this level for the Champion's League, that Wayne Rooney.

A bit late, but would just like to congratulate any bluenoses reading this on their cup win. Watched the game and thought they totally deserved it. You achieved something we could not last season so well done!

Is this thread about soccer?

Yes and No. It is about Football, we English speaking people from England do not call the game "Soccer", as that is an archaic term derived from "Association Football", and was used to distinguish the game from "Rugby Football" or "Rugger".
To be precise, the thread is about the best Football league in the world - The English Premiership.

3-1 Liverpool - Arsenal now 3 pts behind with a game in hand. Bastard bloody officials - should have been a 2-0 win to the gooners yesterday but for 2 pathetic calls. One perfectly good goal ruled out for offside when Ashavin was clearly on side, and then we are denied an obvious penalty.

I don't see how the penalty shot call was missed. It was a horrendous noncall.

The Goons dodged a bullet this weekend. They could've easily been eliminated from the title chase.

I honestly don't know how we can beat Barca without Theo Walcott and Cesc. We simply must have those two. RvP would be nice, but I think Chamakh will come up big. Bentner needs to be on the bench. We need to start Eboue too because he is solid defensively and his speed can give Barca fits.

Chamakh -- Walcott (maybe?)

Nasri -- Cesc -- Song -- Eboue

Clichy -- Kos -- Djourou -- Sagna

Szczesny

Wolves are the team of the day, if they can only manage to transfer home form into away form they will be safe. Have u ever seen so many teams threatened with Relegation at this stage of the season? I mean Newcastle are 9th but only 6 points above the relagation zone 5 points if you presume Birmingham win their games in hands thats 12 teams who could possibly go down and it March!!!
Brillant for me I am a neutral observer of the EPL but I do like the competitive nature this season, everyone is taking points off each other

No one really deserves to go down either this season, even Wigan are playing some great football and they are bottom of the league. The 3 teams that come up won't be a match for the 3 that go down this season IMO
