I respect everybody equally, until they do something to lose it. Personally, I don't lose respect for people who decide to have a career in the pornography industry. Just because I think someone is slutty doesn't mean that I disrespect them as a person.

As far as not offering praise or worship to people in the porn industry, even though I am a member here on a porn forum...it has nothing to do with disrespect. I don't agree with the lifestyle or the actions involved with it, but I don't disrespect people in the industry in any way, shape or form.

Just because I look at porn from time to time, doesn't mean that I condone that sort of lifestyle or would encourage anyone to live such a life. For example...

I drink a lot. Drinking alcohol is something that I do quite frequently, but, I would never encourage others to pick up my sort of lifestyle. Just because I choose to pick up a drink every now and then (mostly now), that doesn't mean I think this sort of lifestyle is a good one.

:2 cents:

What do you mean dont agree with the lifestyle?

And I get what you mean your are a more do what I say not what I do kinda person

I totally respect the people in the porn industry. They are just living their lives the way they choose to and obviously have a lot of self respect for themselves to bare all on camera.

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding my OP my question isnt if you give them EXTRA respect but if you look down on people in the industry and if you at least give them common respect which you should give to everyone.

It seems like a lot of people on here look down at porn stars but then spend how many hours looking at them a month?

I can tell ya one thing, my penis sure respects the porn industry ALOT

But seriously I think wacking off to the professionals is showing at least SOME type of respect because you find their acts erotic and stuff

Respecting porn is like respecting smokers.. you dont want your son/daughter/wife/grandma/friends to smoke.. but if they do then that's their choice and you deal with it. Every so often we all have a cig or two. Every so often some of you guys go thru a pack. Does it make you a bad person? No. Do bad people think it makes you a bad person? Yes.

Pornstars get paid to fuck on camera. The most I can do is hate them for being paid to do something that feels fucking great and never having to wear a nametag or company uniform while doing so.

I think people forget that there are people who do porn for other reasons. Not to be a star or be famous, but because of something that may have been a financial issue and that really isn't anyone's businees.

I respect Porn actresses/actors, but I don't respect the Porn Producers or Companies. The product is on a downward spiral (granted it's a slow, somewhat hot ride), and I blame the Power Brokers--not the talent.

I would date/marry a pornstar and I will support my kids in whatever they want to do with their lives (assuming I settle down someday).

I think a little shown respect is in order for porn and the people that make it what it is.

Why? These individuals have the guts to provide a service that most would deem morally reprehensible, yet closetly covet the nastiness of it. By performing, they are stating that they enjoy what they do and don't care what you think.

By and large over time this might change for them, just like all of us change our minds on any given issue. However, for a time, they give us pleasure for however long they like.

That pleasure they provide my friends is what is deserving of respect in a world that deems porn morally wrong.

Ladies and Gentlemen of PORN:

I give you an official PENIS SALUTE!

The joy you bring can't be counted, except by the grumblings of every jizz mopper.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
IMHO any starlet that has the guts and self-esteem too perform sexual acts knowing millions of people, mostly guys are gonna be viewing them butt nekkid?

And keep, maintain the security of mind too be comfortable with all the exposure and lack of privacy that they have is truly admirable in my POV!

I myself think that in itself is very courageous and deserves respect, if not commands respect!:D:hatsoff:

:iloveyou: to all the starlets for being mentally strong and serving mankind the way you do!!! :hatsoff:

Yes, I do respect (most of) the girls in the porn industry. I can't really say the same for the industry itself yet.

I respect the bigger companies, as they'll probably try to keep their models/actresses safe from drugs, diseases and less reliable companies (I'm not even 100% sure of that). Those less reliable companies (& sadly, there are lots of them) probably don't (why else read so much negative stuff about the porn industry?).

A company should have some very simple rules. A health care system for it's models (they could offer different packages, going from cheap with little coverage to expensive which covers nearly everything. Of course the pornstar would have to decide & pay), a 'not allowed to enter the premises while intoxicated & no drugs allowed on the premises either policy' and a subparagraph in their contract which states that the company has explained what is exactly said in the contract & what it means before they signed it. They should also check (I know this is difficult, but they should at least try) if the girl isn't forced into the industry by someone else.

A lot of the negative publicity the industry gets right now would be gone the moment they implement these simple rules.

Of course girls would still be able to get drugs/alcohol outside of the premises, but in that case it has little to do with the industry.

In the end, only a few girls complain after they've quit and only relatively few have died (no more than in the music industry) but apparently it's still too much.

Also, if you search google for casualties amongst pornstars, you'll notice that most of them are American pornstars. This doesn't mean that the EU porn industry is 100% ok, but either the EU pornstars have stronger wills or there's more wrong in the US porn industry than in the EU porn industry (you won't find that many converted EU pornstars either) (I've searched, but I couldn't find anything useful on google. If someone has a list of dead EU pornstars, please give me the link.). This means that with the information I have, I respect the EU industry more.

I respect them. They make my live much more interesting and I think everybody should do the job he or she wants. And in these days it#s a normal job. They are entertainers!

persona non grata
I don´t have any problems with most performers in porn. I have no respect at all for many webmasters/producers in porn though. A lot of webmasters in porn are selfish assholes that have no problems with lying to people and using all kinds of dishonest tricks just to make a few extra bucks.

Personally, I've never actually given it much thought. I've never been watching Jenna Haze and thought "do I respect you", which would mean 1) I was talking to the TV again and 2) I wasnt enjoying the scene ;) (If you know what I mean). Walking down the street, porn isnt really in my mind. I'm probably more concerned with trying not to fall over and make a fool of myself infront of the entire street than anything to do with porn.

So the only time I've ever really thought about it is right now, and I have to ask, what is respect really? Is it buying your favourite pornstars newest DVD everytime a new one comes out, or is it if you saw your favourite pornstar on the street you wouldnt run up to her whip it out and ask her to deepthroat it? It might be :dunno:

This is just a job, we respect firefighters, doctors etc, but there isnt that respect for other professions.

I think I lost the whole point of the post a while ago, so I think I'll just end it.

..........Yes I do :hatsoff: Most of the time. There is that margin or error that cant really be respected because I dont understand that particular brand of pornography.

yeah, it really shows a high level of self esteem to get slapped around and spit in your face and jizzed in your eye.

Conspiracy...
yeah, it really shows a high level of self esteem to get slapped around and spit in your face and jizzed in your eye.

It also takes "self esteem" to work for a employer who treats people like farm animals and never gives raises or much of one. Who doesn't care about anyone but himself and his profits.

There's bad and good in every business. ;)

Respect isn't given, it's earned. There haven't been too many people in the industry that have earned my respect. Having sex to be recorded so you can make money also doesn’t seem like something that is inherently respectworthy either. Don't fool yourselves either. Allmost all of them don't do it because they love it or it's their passion, even most of the few that do, that's nothing but a small bonus for them. They do it FOR THE MONEY.

At the very most I might respect a few individuals in the industry, and that's it. As far as the industry itself, it's one of the most ruthless and mercenary like in the world. There is a greater percentage of scumbags of various sorts in porn than there is in any other legal profession in the western world. Even if you only count the performers it's not much better. Stereotypes are often wrong, but sometimes they exist because much of the time they are very true. Lets just say the stereotypes about the performers are a lot more true than not for most of them. While I don't see anything wrong with the act of creating porn in of itself there are so many pieces of garbage that run it, so many women that shouldn't be in it, and so much wrong with the industry that they continue to refuse fixing it makes it pretty impossible to not disrespect much of it.
