Unless you find a way to build nuclear power plants that are REALLY failsafe, and find storage plants where the waste can cool off safely... Nuclear energy is a no-go

If the energy producing companies would have to pay for the whole production and storage costs, and have to actually pay the cost of insurance for covering the costs of a disaster (I am talking about the situation here in Germany, look for the situation in your countries), coal and wind energy producers have to cover their risks, but nuclear energy producers can 'socialize' any costs resulting from a power plant blow-up, leaving the taxpayer pay for their mess)
Add up all the costs that got drawn out or hidden and you and up with energy NOT cheaper.
